Yes, he is better in the slot (though not quick enough...so personally I'd rather have him as a #2 or a #4, but no way we're deep enough to have him as a 4). Yes, Bradford needs to be shown the door. But please no Mike Williams. He's overhyped because of his case and all. He has size..that's it. I'd say he's current Keyshawn at best...and that's not worth a 1st rnd high pick at all.
The idea might be that Mike Williams is worth more than just his skill level because of the effect he would have on defenses in freeing up AJ. Being a Cowboys fan too, I watch Keyshawn a lot and with a good QB, the man is a first down machine. If Williams were making 6-8 catches a game, most in the 10 yard yard range , on 3rd. downs and some in the red zone, the efficiency of the Texans offense would skyrocket. I thought Billy Miller could add some of that but man, they just forgot he was on the team this year.
That's a good point. But I think that's him at his best possible. I'd rather get an OL or DL 1st rnd with a higher ceiling..
Did you ever watch him play at USC? That guy was a monster, a threat to score everytime he touched the ball.
You're right, in college he was, but alot of people believe that his lack of speed will hurt him in the NFL. Remember before the ruling that declared him ineligible, he had gone from being a top 5 pick to at middle to late first round because he ran a 4.6 forty. It's been mentioned that he might even play TE at the pro level.
