I like Iosivas and Wilson a lot and would pick them in the 4th/5th rd range. A perfect 4th rd for me would be to pick Spears at 4-103 and then trade back into the 4th for one of Mingo/Iosivas/Wilson. Wilson reminds me a lot of the WR the Raiders drafted Edwards.
I haven’t done any research, so your claim may be true. I also agree this isn’t the strongest WR class. But you seem to just be in love with 2024 class. It doesn’t always work out like that and nor are our pics in that draft decided. In 2021 did you say wait for 2022 as well? Haha
Are they other cities plan to roll him out into bootlegs half the time? A lot easier to see when no one is in front of you...
1. Carolina Panthers (via CHI): C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State 2. Houston Texans: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida What does Houston ideally want with the second pick? I’d venture to guess that Nick Caserio would prefer to trade it to a team that is after a quarterback (maybe Las Vegas?) and take the additional draft capital while still getting one of the class’s top passers. Under these parameters, though, the best thing to do is take Richardson, a quarterback they can take their time with as they build out the rest of the roster. The hope for Richardson is that his trajectory compares to that of Jalen Hurts, a quarterback who may still have some warts in his mechanics and accuracy but has developed a viable enough skill set to be the engine of an efficient offense. Davis Mills isn’t anyone’s idea of a long-term option, but he’s the right kind of young quarterback to take the rebuilding lumps you’d rather your prized franchise QB avoid. While DeMeco Ryans and his staff build this offense in Kyle Shanahan’s image, Richardson can wait in the wings. 3. Arizona Cardinals: Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama 4. Indianapolis Colts: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama 5. Seattle Seahawks (via DEN): Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia 6. Detroit Lions (via LAR): Myles Murphy, Edge, Clemson 7. Las Vegas Raiders: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky 8. Atlanta Falcons: Tyree Wilson, Edge, Texas Tech 9. Chicago Bears (via CAR): Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State 10. Philadelphia Eagles (via NO): Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern 11. Tennessee Titans: Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee 12. Houston Texans (via CLE): Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia This would be a coup for Houston, which would leave the top 15 with a quarterback of the future and a young tackle to play opposite Laremy Tunsil, who just signed a $75 million extension. Jones is a powerful right tackle capable of moving bodies in the run game. His skill as a pass protector grades out between solid and good, with plenty of growth potential given his athleticism and frame. Tunsil and Jones both have the burst to execute the outside-zone scheme Houston wants to run, setting up an explosive play-action game. 13. New York Jets: Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma 14. New England Patriots: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon 15. Green Bay Packers, Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame 16. Washington Commanders: Brian Branch, S, Alabama 17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois 18. Detroit Lions: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State 19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Lukas Van Ness, Edge, Iowa 20. Seattle Seahawks: Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia 21. Los Angeles Chargers: Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia 22. Baltimore Ravens: Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU 23. Minnesota Vikings: Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland 24. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia 25. New York Giants: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State 26. Dallas Cowboys: Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah 27. Buffalo Bills: O’Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida 28. Cincinnati Bengals: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas 29. New Orleans Saints (via SF): Calijah Kancey, DT, Pitt 30. Philadelphia Eagles: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson 31. Kansas City Chiefs, Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan
Burn that POS draft with fire. Passing on Young for Richardson while gifting Bryce to the Colts to torment us for a decade?! Then drafting an OT where we already have Howard and have a million other needs?
Lol is Gonzalez is available at 12, I would be all over him. Between him and Stingley, we’ll have a great, upcoming secondary
To think Bryce Young is guaranteed of NFL success and that he would "torment" us is a rather bold statement. Just the same I guess I could say Houston could RPO AR15 into the AFC Championship game and play copycat to what is successful in todays NFL.
Give me Bryce and Jaxon. I'll be happy. I feel like Demeco can get the best out of his defense with who he's added and in the draft. We desperately need playmakers on offense.
My left field for #12 is in the order of Carter (if he falls), Mayer, Van Ness, Bijan, Smith. If we got QB at #2, I'd love to upgrade the line with a blocking TE, and having the safety valve available and it will also help open up the running game. The multi-tool players can be great, especially if they're quality.
