On live 2004 it shows how long you have been playing the game and I'm on like 6 days and 15 hours...yeah I play the Shiz out of the game. Some budz of mine come over and we usually pick a team and we are allowed one pick of a any legend or favorite player on the game. I use a lot of different teams and picks. But no one can stop me when I pick up big bad Bill Russell.

Yeah last 2 years..I bought 2k2 and 2k3...Sega...good games..great simulations and very realistic with nice graphics. I like the whole format. 2k3 was a little messed up with ESPN stuff. Still great games.

This year..I was planning on getting ESPN NBA Basketball 2k4 but I accidentally bought Live for 39 bucks on Ebay..and I tried the demo for ESPN NBA and it was pretty bad..most review sites rated ESPN better than Live except for Official XBox Magazine.

Live isn't awesome but I still play it anyways! There are many things not so great about it but it's still a good game. Music is good. :)

Mobley should be an All Star. Kobe...what other shooting guard...Ray Allen? Mobley has been great for us..but I don't think he's being recognized.

I dont know who chooses who goes and how they do it but last year SF was actualy in the top 5 in 3pt % before allstar break but they didn't invite him to the 3 point contest which i wish they would have instead of a 3 point chucker in Walker. I gurantee that i could have made more than him. Hopefully Mobley will get a chance, or give Boki a chance lol let him showcase his shooting ability to the world and see if he can really shoot lol.

i think my main thing is that the three point shooting competition has always been about whos the best pure shooter. i think about bird and allen and peja. mobley and francis.... i love the guys but they are not pure shooters. who WANTS to watch them or antoine walker try and make three pointers?? even if they won id still think it was just a good night for them. they wouldnt be elevated to pure shooter status or anything.

still, id like to see him in it because its exposure for the team. if i can watch my team on national tv, its a good thing. a warmup for all the national tv well be on in the june's to come ;)

NBA live is good, but I think ESPN basketball is better, just my opinion though.

"It's just for fun. It's a weekend for fun.""

If he isn't so serious about it why did he hire a publicist to try and get himself in last season?

I love the ESPN 2K series. Anyone else have it? If you win 5 straight games with a Midwest Division team, you can unlock all the Midwest Division teams retro jerseys. For some reason, the Rockets Retro isn't in there.

Is the ESPN game more realistic? If i play a 12 minute simulation on live 2k4 the scores are usually 150+ with the computer fastbreaking for about 95% of their points.

You will still get rediculously high scores in 12 minute periods, because that is the nature of video game basketball. I know that I never use all 24 seconds of the shot clock. Just as I never use all 40 seconds of the play clock in video game football (unless I am killing the clock at the end of the game). When no one gets tired and communication is instantaneous, there is a lot less standing around.
