He was my favorite Rocket when he was here. Don't know why, but something about his demeanor always interested me. I continued to be a fan even after his Rocket days. Good luck, Cat. It's a shame you couldn't go out on your terms.
Wishing you the best Cat! Thanks for all the great memories! Hopefully, If for some strange reason you decide to lace the shoes back up, Houston still loves you!
It's a journalism thing. After the Dan Rather thing a few years back, journalists now take the extra step of explaining why their anonymous sources remain anonymous.
when i'm shooting around and my shot isn't falling, i'll sometimes switch to my cuttino mobley shooting form, and my shot always starts going in. i'm never off when i shoot like that. only problem is i can't get it off quick enough to use it in games, but i still like using it just for fun. earlier this year when the clippers played the lakers, kobe tried to do the turnaround jumper to the baseline and mobley stripped it away from him one last time. mobley was always so good at stripping it from kobe on turnarounds and kobe could never seem to adjust to it, even in mobley's later days. of course the clippers still got blown out, but it was cool to see it still worked.
Sad indeed. You hate seeing a player like Cat not go out on his own terms. He was one of the most physically fit and ready players in the NBA, starting with the first day of camp. Man just loved to play. Francis always looked up to him, and it seemed like a lot of players wanted to be around him, partly because of his mom's cooking... Also, apparently he organized players to do summer workouts. In the reality show, Million Dollar Listing, he was looking for a two month rental house in Las Vegas to house him and 5 other NBA players for Aug and Sept when they started their workouts prior to camp. Get in shape by playing.
Wow...had no idea of his heart problem...that sux...Wish him the best... Do the Knicks still have to pay him? Do the Clips owe the Knicks compensation?
one of my favorite rockets of all time. hope his heart condition is not serious. WIsh him all the best going forward. Hope he moves back to Houston so we'll get Mobes-Franchise sightings from time to time.
Damn, that's unfortunate. Best of luck & good health to a guy any true Rockets fan should love. He never gave us any reason to feel otherwise.
I always liked the guy. Very professional and exciting. Sad to see his career end like this. Thanks Cat.
