Actually, it was ZERO. In 2001-2002, the Rockets won zero games when Mobley was not playing, Francis or no Francis.

You think that might have something to do with Francis not playing most of those games also?? How many of those games did the Rockets win when Mobley played by himself?

Thats not the point. It is a given that Francis is valuable. The point is Cat is almost as valuable because we didn't win any games without cat either. No one outside of Duncan and Shaq can win a game by himself. Remember when cat was injured last year. Our offense was terrible. We could not find any rhythm without him.

I think it had to do with many starters missing many games. The fact is that Mobes had a better record by percentage without Francis than Francis did without Mobley. You cannot do worse than losing every game.

My major knock on this forum is the preoccupation with tading whomever for some imaginary better player and/or situation. JVG has shown his wisdom and experience by assessing our overall talent 1st, adding support to that cast as available 2nd, and not caving into the whims of those who don't professionally make their income in this field 3rd. At 6 - 2 I'll ride the bench of observation of what comes next. With Pit and A. Griffin due too come back from the injured list, I suspect we'll be fine. I’m in favor of letting things play out. I like our lineup. I'm guessing other coaches out there do also.

I can't stand when regular posters much like yourself troll around and act like the message board police. Have you nothing better to do than to act like a moderator deeming what is permitable and what is not? If you don't like it scroll past it. This is a message board for Rocket fans and the topic is related to the rockets so it's within reason. I guess it makes you feel good to look at your post total count grow little man.

I honestly think that the Rockets will end up trading Steve before next season. He just doesn't fit together with Yao very well. Yao needs a PG that will feed him the ball. Plus, Mobley knows that he will never be a #1 option and only occassionally tries to take over a game...

Oh wait, I already started this thread! :D

Why not both? Trade Mr. Mobley this year, then Mr. Francis next year. That would just leave Mr. Norris on my $!$@ list.

Wouldn't it be a brighter world! Imagine if Yao had some quality team players!

No he won't. Remember, they are not give out for free, there will be quality players brought in if either trade ever happens. So, Yao will have someone to lean on.

Keep Cat. He is cheap and more efficient at two(you can
check their shooting percentages). Steve is far from a
mature leader. He's not an good PG but a short SG.
    And he's no A.I.

i have to say i hope you're right. it is a bad fit and steve's abilities are easier to replace than yao's. i don't want to bash francis too much but i am sick and tired of his bling before ring attitude.

You got to be kidding me. The only effect that ISO-happy and dribble-happy Francis and Mobel have on Yao is slowing down his development and lower his confidence.
