This award also stunts Francis' growth, dont you think???

The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

Sigh... Clutch, you are doing such a great job running this site, but understanding irony or sarcasm has never been one of your biggest strenghts... [IMG]

Ugh. Thanks for the backhanded compliment, but I think something flew over your head here Det. It's obvious TheFreak is being sarcastic -- he's been making the same sarcastic crack for a week+ -- but it was mocking those who claim Francis is the leader of this team, which I happen to claim.

The sarcasm more than loses its sting when you consider past winners of the award.

True, but rest assured it wasn't because I didn't think his contributions were big. Hard to say Moochie was NOT the player of the game against the Pacers, and Francis had a huge game against the Spurs.

Both times Mobley was mentioned as hard to pass up. [IMG]

BobFinn, I think he was basketballnews' choice but not the official winner. Mobley is the official winner. [IMG]

Um, no. I would be mocking 90% of the board (not that that's always a bad thing) and probably myself in that case. It goes a little deeper than that. Great, Clutch takes my post personally and now my cover is blown. I can't make any more cracks on this now that I've been forced to explain myself. What am I supposed to do now, talk about basketball? Thanks a lot!

    For my next few posts:

    I like this quote:

"I'm hyped, but I'd rather be Player of the Week during the playoffs," Mobley said. "It's a good accomplishment, considering you have so many good players in the league doing so well. I'm just going out there and trying my best."

It shows that Cuttino has grown quite a bit this season. He's putting the playoffs first, instead of his stats.

On Rick Bucher's "On Guards" for this week it has on the top ten, Stevie at NUMBER ONE, and Cuttino at NUMBER 7.....

and we DON'T have the best backcourt in the NBA? [IMG]
