Thanks for the math lesson. 1989 was 3 years before the 1992-1993 season, which is when Dream started to become a team player (i.e. the loss to Seattle in the playoffs? and the chat with Charlie Thomas on the way to Tokyo) and around the same time he became especially engrossed in his islamic faith (and hence kind of mellowed out from his angrier, younger days). So 3 years is not "right before" our championship run, however I did not realize semantics were so important on this BBS =).
