Boki can writhe in pain on the ground after getting fouled. Roll his eyes back to make it more dramatic.

if i played against someone who was a flopper and kept getting the calls from the refs, the next time down the floor i'd make him really "flop" and earn that call. if you're gonna do the time, might as well do the crime.

as soon as they knew they couldn't come back to win, cat should have ran down the court and put a fat shoulder into bowen's or ginobili's chest.

Manu and Bowen played great denial D, so did Cat... it was great to watch but that is completely seperate for the cheap ass act of flopping

    Cat will deservedly get fined

but he is right Manu, Bowen and Parker are all floppers.... really frustrating the refs and league let crap like flopping happen.... the Parker one was a complete crock of ****e, and got love Manu flopping when the offensive player tries to square up he does this all the time.. they should just call them for blocks consistently and then he'll stop doing it...

I'd say Floppy Divac comes verrrrry close to Kung-fu Karla and the Pasty Gangsta.

I don't know why they, as well as the people on these boards, are complaining.
Flopping and/or running inside the paint to take the charge is a major part of what is considered good defense.
It's not BASKETBALL, but if the NBA allows it and is a tactic frequently used........PRACTICE IT AND GET BETTER!

As the saying goes, "Don't hate the player, hate the game..."

Floppers are the most dominating players, and they will change the rule of the game.

New Flopper Rule will likely be introduced next season:
Once flopping is being identified by ref, flopper will be given a mental flagrant foul III call. Penalty is 3 FT and opposite team regain procession.

To those who were saying Van Gundy should argue more, on the contrary, one of the things I like best about VG is how he uses the time when play is stopped to talk to his PLAYERS and not whining at the refs. So many times I see NBA coaches waste so much time, sometimes like half of a whole time out, going back and forth with the officials on something that they're never gonna change. Yeah, sometimes the refs will notice something later, but overall it's a waste of time, and if you can play your game the best and use your time wisely, the refs can't lose the game for you, because you take too big a lead.

Technical fouls on coaches are usually not done to get anything out of the officials. When guys who get T'ed up a lot do it, like Sloan and Popovich, it is to get their team fired up when they look lethargic. It's very strategic. For the most part, I think Van Gundy believes it's more important with this Rockets team to improve their execution and not just try to fire them up. They already play out of control too much, they usually need to calm down.

    later,

    Jeffster :)

OG Cuttino Mobley's negative comments about officials has gotten him in trouble. Mobley was fined $5,000 by the NBA on Feb. 27 for criticizing the officiating crew working the Rockets' 86-77 loss at San Antonio on Feb. 24. According to the Houston Chronicle, Mobley, who scored 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting and handed out seven assists in the setback, described the officiating as "r****ded" and said the referees were incompetent.

They need to give a foul for flops. Or a technical. I know it would be a tough judgment call, but even if you restricted it to completely obvious ones, it would be something of a deterrent.

The only problem is that the front office doesn't do this kind of work.
