It's embarassing that some of you are blaming this loss on Mobley. After last night's performance, I realized just how good the guy has become. On a sore ankle, he managed to score 26 points against the league's best defender.

Without Mobley, the Rockets lose that game by 30.

True. I was upset as hell when Mobley passed up that shot for the win...but he showed a lot of balls thursday night. Whats even more impressive is that is willing to take the blame for the loss...like a man. He doesn't b**** about his ankle hurting or fouls or stupid ****. That is the leader we need on this team...Francis is the franchise but cat is clutch.

Mobley had guts to play this game on a bad ankle. He gave a lot. And so did Franchise.

That said, these guys sometimes have major head-up-the-ass syndrome (uh, their own, not each other's, as some posters here have stipulated). A little too much street-ball B.S. and not enough clear, intelligent playmaking. How many times do these guys find themselves in the air with no one to pass to and no decent shot?

On the other hand, they did get to the line and make a lot of foul shots (as they should). The problem so far has been finding the offense. Mo Taylor used to get us going early; now that early offense is gone. Rice's game isn't yet integrated with the guards'.

At least Steve and Cat were playing aggressively for a change. That often gets them in trouble. But it also provided us a good game, even if the wrong team won.

Man, I would have done anything to watch that "smug-ass, I-should-get-the-foul-call-every-time-someone-breathes-in-my-direction-Kobe-Bryant" lose.

    Lets see. . . .

45 minutes before gametime, I heard on the radio that Cuttino Mobley would not play because of his ankle.

He ended up playing the entire game, including overtime. He is not the goat.

There are no goats from this game, that I saw anyway.

We lost because the Lakers scored one more point than us.

    It happens.
