i dont use facebook but i know its a facebook app been playing on my iphone a similar game called epic pet wars its like pokeman but same concept its pretty fun, time consuming of course i usually check it the morning and then once at work and once before going to bed
I know! I must have clicked on that job more than a couple hundred times just to get the cameras necessary to complete Master Consigiliere. ugh. The one thing I don't like about the game is that choosing your class in the beginning is probably the most important thing you can ever do in the game, and it can't be reversed later on when you found out you chose wrong (i.e., choosing Maniac gives 3:00 energy regen vs 5:00 energy regen for all other types). That really sucks. My strategy for this game is to horde energy like crazy. I'm level 98 with 650 energy points...
My husband is on that site all the time. I am not sure he's on it as much as ClutchFans, but it's getting pretty close.
I was totally addicted to mafia wars on myspace for awhile. Easier to add members. I was at 252 last I checked. I was going for a trillion dollars, but it gets boring robbing over and over and over and over again.
Looks like something good to stay away from, unless you've got tons of extra time and no better way to spend it. I don't know how people fit these things into their lives. I only play with a few "collection and exchange" apps which are quite simple, and it still eats too much of my time.
Its a couple of minutes in your day when you log onto facebook. I'm on mafia wars on there and its a bit of fun.
Yesterday, someone put me on the hitlist for no reason, so I robbed all of his casinos. He then did it again, so i robbed all of his hotels. he did it 2x in a row after that, so i robbed all of his marina tourist shops. he did it 3x in a row after that, so i attacked him until i killed him. then he finds my facebook profile and sends me a personal message to the effects of "watch your back" that's when i deleted all of my info, changed the email address on my facebook account, deleted my pictures, changed my name to an alias - and basically turned my regular facebook account into a dummy account for mafia wars use only - with no way to trace it back to me personally - save for an IP address match by the facebook server admins. I also defriended everyone I know who does not play mafia wars (95% of my friends) Not good times. I'll have to create a new legit profile and re-add my friends today - this one for personal use and NOT mafia wars business.
You know what I don't get about this game? Why attack people? For money? I make so much on that game right now that I can buy a couple of casinos a day. I'm more into it for completing all of the jobs. Can someone explain this?
i'll attack people for the experience points - to get to higher levels faster than just doing jobs. but this guy seriously just came out of nowhere... i checked my logs and i never attacked him. it was eerie.
I also find it really annoying that someone can attack or rob you a dozen times in a couple of minutes. I just think people that do that have no life. I'm honestly on this once a day. I do jobs until I'm out of energy, and then I log off.
I got tired with it around level 94. I was making around $84m an hour and the money didn't have anywhere to go except into more property to make more money. Kind of cyclical. I never really got into the whole fighting/robbing thing once I got past the point of being able to make much money off it (at least compared to what my properties brought in). When I hit the tiers that required me to constantly go back and rob the electronics store so I could get an Untraceable Cell Phone/Computer Setup/whatever, I got really aggravated and quit playing. I know they recently added the Cuba portion which my wife tells me is a lot of fun, but I don't think I want to mess with getting back into this game.
I attack people for loot. If you get to a high enough level, getting on the hitlist becomes more a reward than punishment. It's pretty funny when bullies rob your cheap restauarants or warehouse. It's not rewarding from a cost/benefit standpoint. It's all spite and petty vindictiveness...in a free internet game. lol I changed my facebook settings so that only my friends can view the page. You can also make groups like real/mafia friends can control access to your personal info for each group. I would do that anyways. Don't want a snoopy boss checking out your weekend exploits. They're giving away those gift items like cell phones and blackmail photos through friend requests. Get it while it's hot. Reload a couple of times if you need to...
I was getting bored with the game before the cell phones, etc became necessary. I to point where i realized all I did was log on, do jobs, deposit money and/or buy properties and then log off. It really wasn't all that fun. So I quit playing. The electronics store robbing was more of an annoyance.
Made a facebook group for just the Mafia Wars, time to build a BIG mafia of Clutchfans. Let's see if this works... http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=103508413073&ref=nf
