he was great in the playoffs definitely, but not as a pg. i dont buy that he'll ever be a good playmaker or passer. his playoff avgs in 30mpg were 12/5/3, 33% from three. he can play bigger than his height with those boards and blocks which is alwyaas helpful. but we need a true pg to start.

btw for lin to play at his best he needs (along with his speed) a good pick and roll big. now that we got dwight, lin can start racking up assists left and right.

the only thing bev has on lin is defense. everything else he's about the same or worse.

I'm pretty sure asik was up in the ranking as a pick in roll big man. Still Lin didn't do as good. I have faith in Lin. I bet he will be a top 5 point guard next year. Quote it if you want. I just don't no if he will still be here next year. Soooo I mo backing up bev would be good. Bev will be a great player he has that lowery attitude.

if we lose lin then mo or bev would be bad starters to replace lin with

if lin gets moved and reports come out saying bev will work on his passing and playmaking, MAYBE i'll be ok with him starting.

if harden/howard become the next kobe and shaq then Lin is good enough to hold the spot down. HIs defense is actually pretty good. YOu're not going to stop great player most of the time. Off the top of my head I remember a game where he limited Curry, ROckets won and Steph scored 0 points in the 4th quarter.

Another game he totally tooled Lillard at both ends of the floor. With HOward/Harden/JSMoove Lin pretty much becomes a role player, just make sure everyone touches the ball, run some pick and roll, which he's more than capable of.

great idea, but we have to move lin first.

hopefully morey can package lin/asik/other assets for a 3rd star. might not be this season, but next season i think we can do what the warriors did to get iggy. asik and lin will be on expiring contracts, add a couple of first round picks and dump them onto a team with cap space. then we can go after a max guy in 2014 with the best duo of any team with cap space. no?

I just think morey needs to make moves like this. To souround d12 with sharp shooters.

lin isnt a bad defender on or off the ball. he can do well on both ends of the court. but after that injury he lost his speed and it showed in the playoffs.

if we get smith, then we'd be arguably the best pnr team.

You watched the playoffs, right? I think Lin only played one game where he wasn't totally taken out of his game by the pec contusion. People keep saying "Lin choked in the playoffs." He only played one game. Gimme a break.

bottom line... with atl getting two bigs in FA, there is no reason for asik.. soo either a three way deal or lin is gone. i wish we could keep lin but it isnt looking to good for him and asik

Are we going to have a new thread for every other point guard in the NBA?

hmm gs i dunno what u think i said ;) . lin was too banged up to do anything in the playoffs. he did have that one half, 7/4/3 in 19min, 43% from the field. on pace for like 15/6/6 http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4795

but anyway he'll return to full strength

pple who say he choked in the playoffs are on some bullsht, i dont listen to that. im def ok with him as the starting pg next season. but he needs to put in work in the offseason
