Because if you are a player who have been marginal to average, and you criticize the fact like a guy like Ben Wallace, who has worked his butt off to get where he is and kicked your team's collective a**, is an All-Star, you open yourself up to more criticism on your game. I get tired of hearing about Freedom of Speech, I didn't say put the guy in jail, its just not his place to criticize something about a fellow player who's clearly better than him.
Then don't read his quotes mo-ron. Or better yet, write a letter to the editor telling him you don't want to read quotes from scrub players. I bet they'll take note of your suggestion. And he has *never* gotten the attention Barkley has, quit overexaggerating.
From what I understand about what he was saying, he was talking about the disparity between the conferences and, in particular, that disparity particular to the center position. Ben Wallace naturally comes up since he is the East's All-Star starter and yet pales in comparison to some of the centers we have in the West. That doesn't sound like smack to me, or even an insult to Wallace's game except tangentally to the main argument. It's just an analysis of why the league looks the way it looks. Speak on, Mo.
Ben Wallace deserves to be on the All- Star team. Good defense and rebounding are just as important as offense. And his team is WINNING. There's more to basketball than shooting a 15 foot jumper, Mo.
Actually, I like when players give their analysis of the league or their game (interviews). I didn't like it when Francis and Mobley started bickering with the Mavs players after a loss. That's different. Anyways, if I had to pick between KT or MoT, I'll take Mo. It's obvious that MoT is the 6th best starter behind SF, CM, EG, YM, JP...but at least he's better than Cato and Mooch! By the way, our new guy, Posey is averaging 7.7ppg and 4.9rpg with the Rox! Not bad!
But Why you go against Mo if he´s on the truth? Or is false that he said? The truth hurts. Ben Wallace can´t be nnneeveeer an starter o the all-star. That say a lot of the level of the East´s centers. They are all worst than Mo , he have more fundaments, he´s much better. Other thing is that Rudy is silly and...
you know, starting this thread really makes it look like you just hate motay and are looking for a reason to piss on him. what he said was true. don't b**** about the source.
Why all the hate? No need to call names....and to tell you the TRUTH... I am getting tired of you running your mouth... Wel...ur criticizing him....u think ur any better? I bet he would break ya in half with a finger.
Ur well he's a professional athlete, ur well he should be able to, ur well if I could do better, I would be making millions also, ur well that is not the point. Ur well, if you get tired of me running my mouth, move to the next thread. I don't like Mo Taylor as a player, for a guy his size, to be such a weak rebounder, I have a problem with his game, and I definitly have a problem with him criticizing anything about Ben Wallace.
then there ya go....You hate Motay...and are trying to find any way possible to piss on him. move on...
Whatever dude, its a thread on fan site message board, I'm sure everyone who doesn't like some player has said something negative about said. At the same time, I have a lot more dislike for Karl Malone than I do Mo Taylor, but you never hear me say anything negative about his game, because I generally regard him as the best power forward since I've been watching basketball. I am only criticizing the fact that I have heard this guy quoted several times on different basketball subjects and I didn't think it was his place, especially another better player's game. I do apologize for calling CriscoKidd an idiot, I took exception to asking me WTF did I start the thread for when I thought it was pretty clear.
If you based being qualified as the only way to say anything, there wouldn't be a Clutch BBS. Freedom of speech is still around even if we don't agree with what is said.
MoT isn't the best...we know that. But he's not the worst, either. Anytime he comes into the court, I never know what "game" he will bring. But, I've noticed that he's more consistent that Kenny Thomas. If MoT could ever learn how to rebound, I'll be satisfied with him as a good utility player. At least until we get Elton Brand... ...Hey, a guy can dream! P.S. I think that MoT knows that he's not a good as Wallace.
I don't hate MoTay, but I watched the clip and he could've just shown a little class or humility in his answer, that's all. Or if that's too strong, then he could've at least been more tactful. The impression I got was that his opinion of Ben Wallace was basically that he ain't $h!t, and that wasn't really necessary. Maybe I've just gotten too used to Yao's diplomatic responses in interviews...Oh well, no big whoop.
