Actually, <B>Taylor is down to an estimated 290 pounds</B> and has been cleared for running and shooting."</I> How does a player estimated to have slimmed down to 245 last year get <I>down</I> to 290 unless he was at or above 300 at some point to begin with?
Oski - My bad. English is not my first language. I guess my response should be ... I totally agree. If Francis gets rebounding help from MoTay, Griff and Ming, he'll be able to spend his energy scoring and creating.
That's a relief. Achilles injuries are tough to recover from and having an extra 50-60 pounds couldn't help. I hope it's an indication that he is serious about getting back. We need Mo.
Even if Taylor is still around 290 lbs. (although I'm sure he's dropped a few lbs. in the last two weeks), his playing weight with the Rockets in 2000-01 was around 270 lbs. And NO, that was not flab. Mo T is BUILT. He has a similar build to Shaq in the sense that he is wide and muscular with a little "baby fat"-ish coating, but you can easily tell that he's got major muscle underneath.
