Take away the contract and what he was "supposed" be on the Rockets, he was a very good offensive option off the bench/6th man the year they finally made the playoffs. If he'da focused on that as his niche, he'd still be in the league.

Still, didnt like the Mo Taylor signing at ALL. It was VERY easy to tell the player he was - a face up "power forward" who put most his energy into scoring, when he would give you energy that is.

Wait; JVG didn't have any say in personnel, remember? The Van Gundy fan club really needs to get on the same page.

Mo Taylor had potential. He had a decent midrange jumper, his jump hook in the paint at one time was automatic, fierce dunker and ok handles for a big man. Oh yeah, he was a bad defender. He just never really got his head straight. He was dumb enough to get caught smoking pot and the rest is history. He should have just waited till the offseason to burn trees like the rest of the league.

Thats funny, hes also a member at the place that I work for, and hes got his own team in the basketball league. Its really hard to get him to pay for his membership and b-ball leagues.

Fierce dunks and a big mouth is not what makes you tough or hard. If that were the case, wouldn't Yao Ming be considered soft?

Mo was a big man with good size yet all he wanted to do was face up. He couldn't play defense, man to man or even team. Not to mention he was a historically bad rebounder.

    Soft big man check:

Faces up instead of getting in the post? check
Can't rebound worth a damn? check
    Sucks at defense? check
Looks and plays like the stay puff marshmellow man? check

Mo Taylor was softer than Bob Dole's dongle before viagra.

The Rockets were in a lot of those highlights, even ones where Mo wasn't a Rocket if you know what I mean. The kid had serious talent but wasted it. I thought he could have been a pretty good player.

meh... makes sense if the definition of soft means not playing up to your full potential. he was definitely capable of doing the things you mentioned above and showed glimpses of it, but that's all they were... glimpses. sad.

The dude had no potential as a rebounder or defender. He was a p***y.

mo had tons of talent but not a lot of heart. i don't feel sorry for him, he made tons of money based on promise he couldn't keep.
