I have no hope at all for Moochie and I am very skeptical about Baker. Moochie is essentially a "church league" player who is making millions for being horrible in almost every phase of the NBA game. However, Baker was legit at one time, better than Cato has ever been or will ever be. The problem is alcoholism. Has he ruined his health, will he be able to maintain sobriety, etc.? Interesting, but I am not excited about either one of them. Most likely, the Rockets will get from them what they have gotten from Taylor during the last few weeks, nothing. Anything else will be more than a pleasant surprise, it will be a shock.
There is definitely a big upside for vin baker. (1) there is now almost no expectation, and hence pressure, on him. Anything he does is a bonus. Eddie Griffin comes to mind. (2) he is coming to a team with a lot of veterans, who he is more likely to get on with and he wont feel too old, good chemistry, with many caring personalities, and championship potential. (3) if he regains any sort of form he would fill a big gap for the rockets. I wouldnt say I was optimistic, but there is a small chance this will turn out to be a big pickup.

MoT played his first game in a Knicks uni, played 5 minutes and shot 1/2 for 2 points and had 0s in all other categories. I think MoT is in another bad situation up there, he can't play defense nor rebound, mandatory skills for a team this small to win. I think it will only be a matter of time before the Knick's are complaining about paying a guy $48M to sit on the bench. Well he is Zeke's problem now, this trade was huge.
