OK, it gets weirder: I was just looking at the substance abuse provisions of the NBA CBA, and the only time I can find a ten game suspension mentioned as a possible penalty is in the following section (w/regard to second time steroid abuse) Now, either I'm working off of an outdated CBA draft, or somehow Mo is being treated as a second time roid user. BUt that makes no sense unless he's got a first tiime roid offense in there, which I certainly do not recall I'm basically clueless at this point.
wasn't it was only a few weeks ago when testing for a previously undetectable steroid was announced and quite handful of international athletes got busted that made the news on a worldwide scale. the rockets get distracted so easily... thanks for losing the next game mo!
I know what you mean man. I just hooked up Jeff Van Gundy with a bucket of crack when he was in town for the Nets game. We were talking about the league's policy and how last year it was so much easier to cop a bag of weed. I guess my friend who sells to Lebron James will be upset. Oh and I know Allen Iverson's dealer, too. that guy is a riot!
Perfect! I'm not so worried about not having Mo, I'm more worried about what this might do to our momentum. Braggs is more than capable and will get the ball in the hands of our scorers.
Yikes, STEROID??? This is even worst than teh pothead thing. This is sad since what will his teammates think? Mo is cheating to try to get ahead of his teammates?
I'm new, on this forum, and I'm concerned about Mo's alleged substance abuse. Although Mo is an extremely talented player, I'm still waiting for some kind of sustained performance from this guy. I mean, he hasn't had any continuity yet, as a Rocket. Either he is getting injured, or (again, allegedly) stoned. Is it just me, or is it time to start looking beyone him. I like the guy, but, to paraphrase an old Yogi Berra statement, "When you come to a fork in the road, you've gotta take it." We're at that fork in the road, and we've got to take it... for better or worse. It's all up to Mo.
From what I heard on the radio earlier and from what I recall from last year a player gets two free passes that don't even need to be reported before that player gets a suspension. So two free passes for his first and second violation and then on his third violation he gets a five game suspension and for the forth time, he gets a suspension of a minimum of ten games. This is just what I remember from last year and what I heard on 610 earlier.
I think it is safe to say that this has to do with Pot or Not showing up for the drug testing. I don't know why I think it is safe to say it.
Man, is Houston the new Portland without the damp, chilly weather? (Guns, Drugs, Violence, Mental Instability, Police investigations, Strip Club indulging coach, etc) I am afraid the promising start to the season is going to come to a screeching stop with all the constant distractions.
Yep! I can't count Bonzi Wells gesture along the lines of Mo and Eddie. So early into this season, the Rockets are off to a 2-0 lead over the Portland Jailblazers. So until D. Stoudamire lights em up again, and R. Patterson gets a new babysitter to hit on. The score will be. Cap Killas 2 Jailblazers 0 Who would have thought?
