All this injury talk reminds me of seeing a half-forgotten face on the bench last game-- Charlie Ward!! I don't know if he's still traveling with the team of just sitting on the bench for home games, but he's still alive, at least. He seemed to be enjoying the team's success and having a good time at the game; I reckon his career's probably over at this point. He was in street clothes, natch.
Some of you guys are really quick to forget he was getting 6th man of the year considerations last year. Come on, people.
YAO may be only one of Rudy's players who will play for ROX. I still love MOT even if his defense usually sucks.
I havent seen him (on the bench) or his brothers (courtside) at games lately. Ever since the Lakers game.
Without Cato, he turned into the projected first option at PF. Guy doesn't work well under pressure....unless it's a contract year.
As usual we have people blowing one quote "I still get paid" out of proportion. Mo T has done a great job of getting in shape and then staying in shape since he has been a Rocket. His workout attitude has been anything other than "I still get paid." Mo Taylor was already in the doghouse when he made that comment. Last Year Taylor improved his defense and toughness. I am not sure why he hasn't continued the improvement this year. Though until Tmac stepped up and took on leadership nobody was doing well at PF. Taylor hasn't had a weed infraction in years. The last time he was cited for a drug infraction it was the league that was in the wrong and not Mo Taylor. The league gave him his money back, and lifted the suspension. Yet because people want to slam Mo while he is down they bring up weed, a one time quote etc. I won't be too upset if we trade Mo T. because we are playing well now without him, and we have other needs that need to be filled. But I won't pile on him, and trash Mo, when he hasn't done anything to warrent such a reaction.
Good post. I completely agree. I like Mo, but he isn't fitting on the team and we can get someone who can fit better. Everyone seems to forget how good he was with the Clippers when we signed him to that contract. He was putting up good numbers with the potential to keep getting better. I think his leg injury has done more to his game than anyone wants to admit.
Rudy and CD should have known better than to give Mo that type of contract. Once a Clipper always a Clipper.
I think his chances of being traded are very low. If they can't move him he will be riding the bench most of the time with occasional appearences if he is needed or he will be cut. Les would still have to pay him so I think the chances of it happening are slim but I think it could still occur if he is considered as a cancer on the team. I hope he will improve his attitude and fitness and be able to contribute to the team because he is talented but I doubt that things will change. His injury has made things harder for him but he can do better.
