I just want to know if Mo can duplicate his incredible season high of 7 rebounds again this season? I love Mo, let's give him the kitchen sink next season since he is worth all the millions upon millions he is due next season [IMG]

Come on HeyP, you know that defense is about positioning. If Dream tells him to let his man go and he will block the shot from the weak side, that's good defense. Dream gets many blocks from the weak side. You know that most blocks particulary with post players is not done straight up. Give Taylor a break.

Mo definitely had a good offensive game which was fantastic to see but then again look at the post players for Seattle who are among the weakest in the Western Conference. When Mo gets 20 and 7 against Garnett, Malone, Duncan, Wallace, McDyess, or Webber then we've got somethin to talk about.

If I recall, his season high is 8 rebounds, vs the Lakers.

Today we get to see Mo and Stro go at it. Maybe even Othello.

Yes, I do know it's Othella. I was taking some rhyming liberties.

    cato13,

You got something to say about my bashing Mo? Bring it on. Just remember, I have Mo's CAREER stats as well as quotes at my fingertips.

One good game isn't going to cut it. He better put up even better #'s tonight against the Grizzlies. They are weaker up front than the Sonics.

    cato13,

Key dates on the Mo watch are:

    12-19
    12-26
    1-6
    1-13
    1-15

Provided the other team is healthy at the Power Forward spot.

ps Does anybody have a url for career stats of retired players? It seems that nba.com is limited in what they provide.

The law of averages says we won't encounter a Garnett, Malone, Duncan, Wallace, McDyess, or Webber too often and when we do they're not automatically going to go off for 40/20 on us (no comments from the peanut gallery), so I'd be happy if Mo could average 20/7 against everybody else. It's when he's playing the nobodies of the league and getting 8/3 that I get pissed.

    Heypartner,

you are a man of my own words!! [IMG]

Hello, yes, my name is Live, and I'm a Mo basher.

(This is where everyone says, "Hi, Live.")

In fact, I'm a Cato basher too!! In fact, I tell you what I think of Cato and Mo.

Their role models must be Joe Barry Carroll and Pervis Ellison.

And I'd be estastic if the Rockets could find someone dumb enough to take these two off their hands!! And don't give me this,

-"Cato's our future at C", or

    -"Mo hasn't been utilized properly"

crap, either. Neither can rebound. Cato has some of the WORST hands I've ever seen and one go-to move; the dunk. Mo's D is enough to make Kukoc call him out. His MONSTER game constituted of 20 pts and 7 rebs, eventhough Steve (you know, the PG!!) outscored him, had one less rebound, and 10 assists while playing against one of the league's best. Now I know some of us are going to blast me with the same rhetoric, pointing out Mo's and Cato's potential. But in the words of the great Bum Phillips,

"Potential means you ain't done nothin' yet."

So bring it on, baby!! [IMG]

But the guys you named are the ones the Rockets ae more likely to see in the playoffs. Its one thing to go off on Baker etc for 7 boards [IMG] , but an entirely different matter for Mo to go off for 7 on Duncan in the playoffs.
