RocketRiver and RunninRaven have made interesting comments about PJ Brown.The Hornets do need a backup center to Campbell and a backup for Wesley. A combination of Cato and Shandon would be a good trade in return for PJ Brown.However Anderson does not want to play in a backup role.PJ Brown is not a free agent,I'm not sure of the length of his contract but I think he signed a 7 year deal with the Heat.Brown played 4 years with the Heat and has completed his first year with the Hornets.If we could trade Cato and KT for Brown,the Hornets might agree to the deal,although this deal favors us more than them.This would help us resign Taylor and get rid of Cato's contract.I want to keep KT, but if we get PJ then there would be no place for him provided we resigned Taylor.The next logical thing would be to sign a guy like Marc Jackson,and maybe to get Ken Johnson with our 2nd draft pick for a shotblocking presence.If we could get Richard Jefferson or Rodney White with our 1st pick then the absence of Shandon may not be greatly felt.Antonio Davis is a better player than PJ Brown but I think he will try to go for the max,which will not be good for us.Taylor is younger than Davis and I think he and PJ Brown can complement each other quite well. ------------------
