Well the Sonics REALLY want Ewing if they can get Mo and the Knicks REALLY want to unload Ewing and they like the idea of a "full size" PF. The only way I can see that Mo will not be a sonic is if he wants to wait until AFTER Baker is traded to go there, and the sonics won't trade Baker until AFTER Taylor signs...

... it's a slim hope, but they may jsut stalemate themselves long enough for Mo to get angry and sign with us....

    ... otherwise, bye bye Mo!

    A couple of things:

    1. Mo wanted a starting job. Especially if he takes a $2.5M exception which is what the Sonics have offered him. To do that they have to satisfy a number of committments. Ruben and Rashard to mention but a few. So far, Mo has not had that firm committment from the Sonics. He has however a brain anb in his head and knows what the 4 spot situation in Houston holds.

    2. QUOTE: Fox News Sports .... as reported " ..... if Taylor turns down our $2.25 million exception, the Rockets in all likelihood will not use the exception at all this season" .... per Rudy. The story is confusing. It refers to two different situations by RT. One, that if Mo is excluded from an offer that included the use of the $4.45M exception it was unlikely that the Rockets would use it. In essence, letting it expire. That has been posted on this BBS for over a week. No New News!!!! Two, the use of the $2.5M exemption is unlikely because of the status of the remaining free agents out there that fit our needs.(Don't you wish that Fox and Fox 26 would do some homework.)

    3. Lastly, Mo is wavering because of the aforementioned (#1) playtime stipulation and frankly, (I know this is sounding our own horn,) but we have an excellent player reputation in the league and we have available playtime. This business of " opportunity of playing with Ewing" and all that BS, is hype. We have a young core, an excellent staff, great fans, and the best center that ever played the game. Do you think Mr. Maurice taylor doesn't know this????

    4. This has not been easy for Mr.Maurice Taylor. I know it is typical of fans to rag and gag on pro athletes, and I know that Mo has not made it a treat to be "fan-warm" about his situation, or easy for fans to feel any sympathy for him ..... but, his mind is NOT made up, at least as of 5:15 this evening.

Have faith. If he goes to Sonics, fine. But he has not said "yes" to the wet raining city yet.

    Cheers from afar.

He probably means that he lives pretty far South. Or that he lives in a city named 'Mexicoville'.

    oeilpere, or E,

that was tantalizing, but where's the beef?

We all assume that Taylor is coming to the Rockets... but for what reasons would he not sign with the Rockets. Your post seems meant to placate and 'lessen' the anger if/when Mo does sign w/ the Rockets... but for him to be confused about the matter makes it seem as if he IS merely a mercenary.

Is it really his decision to make or Falk's?

If Falk told him that his goal was 10+ in average rebounds per game, Mo would probably try to do it.

mf, you know im just joking around right?

If I say the Valley most people won't know what I'm talking about.

If I say South Texas, most will think San Antonio or some nonsense.

You and I know what is up down here, shhh, don't tell anyone else. [IMG]

Regardless of what we all heard about Mo like Houston, he is still leaning towards the team that will pay him more next year, but still hoping to have another PF in the line up.
