Since I have a knack for killing threads...let me give it a try here. Yes, I agree..Mo is a disappointment.....so far. but the season is long and the Rox are doing better than most people expected. So who cares?? State your opinion and leave it at that.. Threads that go on forever with the sole purpose of bashing a player on the team we all know and love are pointless and waste time that could be devoted to more serious discussions. Like discussing who's fro is better!!! BTW...props to aelliott for the funniest post I have ever read!!!! ------------------ Give It To Moochie! For the record, Kenny Thomas' FG% WITHOUT 3 pointers is an electrifying 40.2%. No, Mo has not played well for his standards. But, compare new Rockets last year in Cato, Anderson, Walt, and Francis. Anderson and Walt both started out of the gate like sloths, but both ended averaging 16-20 ppg in the last few months. Cato gets an INC due to injuries, and Francis while overall fabulous for a rookie, had his down moments. If Clutch has the stats, or someone else does, what were Shandon's numbers at after 20 games last year? Was he still averaging like 3 ppg at that time? ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
Mo is the least productive starting power forward in the league period! Great one on one players are suppose to be able to take it to the hole when they get the ball outside. There is no excuse for Mo's inability to get rebounds. Mo produces fewer points and boards per minute than almost any power forward in the league...no excuse for that! And if you have seen every game this season then you know that Mo has been lit up by Antwan Walker, Antonio McDyess, CWebb and many others. you also know Mo was on the floor when the other PF's were going off! ------------------ [This message has been edited by crash5179 (edited December 14, 2000).]
Sorry but I don't think there is a great deal of difference from 40% to 44% so I don't think Mo is shooting that much better. As for the rest of your argument I can except. You are right on...Anderson and Walt both started out horrible last year and both picked it up and became big time contributors last year. I would love it if Mo did that. And maybe he will. At least you can admit he has not played well so far this year. The Cat, thinks he has played good and that is just wrong. So far this year Mo has played awfull. I know it, you know it, the cat knows it, the media knows it, the other players know it, Rudy knows it and you can beleive Mo damn sure knows it! Tonight is another night for a little redemtion for Mo. If he has the kind of game most think he is capable of then it will at least slow the Mo bashing down. If he sucks again and AJ goes off for 50pts 9 boards and Mo has a 9 pt 3 board effort then you can expect me to report that Mo still sucks! ------------------
I've seen every game this season. MO IS A GOOD PLAYER! PERIOD! I have yet to see an opposing PF light up Mo. Don't show me a stat sheet, cause that does not tell how much time that PF is guarded by Mo compared to Kenny. When I see these other PF's do their damage, it's on KT mostly. As for the shooting 3's, well Kenny shouldn't shoot them then. And Mo would be going inside a lot more except that the system calls for him to be outside a lot. And the pass that sets up the pass is just as valuable as an assist. Assists are not the only factor in how good of a passer you are. Mo is one heck of a basketball player, and without any doubt whatsoever I want him playing for the Rockets. In fact, I want to see him playing many MORE minutes. ------------------ Since Bush says thatwe must put politics behind us and work together to make the promise of America available for every one of our citizens, wouldn't part of that promise of America be having your vote counted???
