MNF has had snoozers year round, and if we weren't Texans fans, this one would be too. The Come on, Man! segment is practically carrying MNF.
Honestly? It's Dallas' fault. They're getting more SNF games this year (3) than the Texans despite a 14-18 record the past two years. They frickin' *kicked-off* SNF this year (granted, the Gianst were the primary draw but still). The AFC doesn't really have any marque teams like Dallas. Note - once Manning left and the Colts sunk to 2-14: gone! They'll make no SNF/MNF appearences this year. How many 2-14 seasons would Dallas have to register before getting the boot? If a mediocre team by any and every measure is getting 3 SNF games every year....
It is widely known that Sunday night football attracts more ppl than monday night football. From what i hear, NBC got a deal for it in comparison to what espn paid for MNF. I dont have cable so i dont watch MNF. But i always find myself watching at least part of the SNF game.
This isn't even up for debate, SNF the biggest by a lot. People can have their preferences but when NBC paid to become the new Sunday Night Football and get the week's most marquee matchup, it was clear which one took priority.
