You can try an onside kick or try to kick it straight up in the air and pin the Ravens at the 5-10 yard line since you'd surround the returner. I have no idea why they just blasted it through the endzone unless they figured it would take a miracle anyway, so they didn't want to mess something up.

buddy ryan's son called the timeout.

speaking of hail marys, did anyone see the hail mary that kellen winslow caught at the end of the game against arizona, only to have to have the refs rule that he wouldn't have caught it in bounds. its absolutely one of the greatest catches i've ever seen

Although he was immature (but aren't we all to a degree), KW was an amazing player at Miami. I felt so bad for the dude as he had to endure one of the worst college QBs of all-time in Brock Berlin. I wasn't surprised when he snapped after that one game because of having a guy like Berlin "trying" to get you the ball.

All are saying about the time out and all that, but the bad throw of Kyle Boller who ended in a interception, the ravens in that moment, they were winning, and they were in a position to kick a field goal, and run the clock, that was a very important play too.

Did you see the 2005 Sun Bowl?

This kid Brandon Breazell from UCLA returned not one but two onside kicks for touchdown. I know that was in college but something like that is insane and you never know it could happen in the NFL.
