A potential controversy with GSP's win. Penn Files Complaint Over Vaseline on St-Pierre’s Back BJ Penn has filed a complaint with the Nevada State Athletic Commission after Vaseline was applied to Georges St-Pierre’s back between the second and third rounds of their UFC 94 headliner. During a post-fight appearance on ESPN’s MMA Live St-Pierre explained that one of his trainers applied Vaseline to his face between the first and second rounds then rubbed his back with the same hand between the second and third rounds, accidentally applying some remaining Vaseline to his back. An NSAC official who witnessed the transfer had the Vaseline immediately wiped off with a towel. Little is likely to come of the complaint as St-Pierre was already dominating Penn prior to the incident and the substance was immediately removed, ensuring that it had no effect on the bout’s outcome, however we’ll pass along more information on the situation when it becomes available. http://mmafrenzy.com/9273/penn-files-complaint-over-vaseline-on-st-pierres-back/
If Gsp has to move up to 185 to fight Anderson Siva that would put him at a big disadvantage. He is not as tall as Silva or have the reach or the power to hang with him. Anderson can go up to 205 on a whim and hang with those guys the only reason he does not do it more is because he does not want fight Machida because they train together. But on the other hand it would kinda be a win win for Gsp if he losses to Silva he does not loose his belt and he has the excuse to fall back on that he was fighting out side of his weight class. I think Gsp could hang with a Bisping or even Chirs Leabon but not Anderson Silva that guys is just Nasty. When people fight Silva there just happy to make it to the third round with that guy.
