I think he's a good fit for this team, but I wouldn't pay him too much more than he's getting. He really provides a spark off the bench and is often the only guy scoring on the team when we get cold. If we're going to let him go, we need to have someone else who can come in off the bench and provide our offense a different look like Wafer does.

I would love to see Moon come to rockets(look at my name). but in the mean time i dont think he'll fit the team very well. firstly he cant handle the ball second, he doesnt shoot a consistent three.

his only strengths are dunking/atheleticsim and good D. but he needs a really fast paced team like the old suns or a guy who can draw in the defence and lob him the alley (wade) to be successful. so IMo,unless rockets are suddenly going to play run and gun next year, moon is useless on the rockets

I think you have to look at Wafer as a rookie. Would you be looking to give up a rookie that had a season like he did?

He needs to develop more but he can get alot better.

I love Wafer but if he's hoping to get paid and does, good for him because DM won't overpay. His shortcomings are going to cost him such as someone like Vujacic taking him out of a series and getting into it with RA in Game 2 vs. LA but its his potential and willingness to get better that wants you to keep him. I hope he realizes that if Houston and RA commit to him that he does need to improve as well: limit TO, know that it's ok to pass the ball, better decision making, etc.

Chris "The Birdman" Anderson would be huge for the team. He would fill the void that Deke left at the backup center and he would be a spark off the bench bench like Vafer but on D.

we'd have to spend the whole MLE on him, i'd rather add a piece here and there rather than just getting birdman. i think he just had a breakout year, i don't expect him to produce as much as he did from here on out.

Wafer leaving would suck but if Morey can get a Jamario Moon to replace him then I would be fine.

Wafer was very impressive this season when he was called upon, but something just doesnt seem to fit right to me just yet. He was tossed by the coach in game 2 of the lakers series and Adelman then mentioned that it wasnt the first time he had a run in with wafer. Wafer at times would keep the other team in the game with his ill advised shots and plays, clearly he let Sasha Vujacic just punk him completely in the lakers series as a whole. Also for all the athleticism and skill in getting to the hoop, other teams clearly knew that he wasnt ever going to pass it off to anyone. I think Artest joked about the night when he got 5 assists that he would buy Wafer something everytime he got 5 assists. I dont think he has gotten 5 since that game.

I think Morey will be very careful, it seems that Wafer is saying and doing all the right things to the media, but what do we know what happens behind closed doors? He looks to be the most mentally fragile player on the team behind tmac. I dont think Morey just happened to pick White towards the end of last year for no reason. I am sure he either figures a) Wafer will just go for the most money wherever it comes from or b) maybe the coaching staff just dont want him back next season.

I think the Rockets will probably wait till towards the end of summer to make a decision on Wafer there are more pressing matters at hand, Ron Artest, possibly draft day maneuvers and seeing if any of the players from summer league are worth bringing into camp.

Wafer, IMO, still hasnt learnt to be a consistent off-the-bench player which he will be next season since either Artest or Mcgrady will be starting at the 2 guard. It would be nice to have him back but I wouldnt be too disappointed if he left with James White in the back working hard at his game and he can learn from the mistakes Wafer made this past season.

Andersen primarily rebounds and blocks shots in limited minutes. Why wouldn't he be able to reproduce that for a few more seasons?

Agreed. With that said there's NO way the Nuggets ARE NOT resigning him.

As much as I like Chris Andersen he's going to be 31 this summer and looking for a long term deal. He will be absolute garbage 4 or 5 years from now. HIM with limited athleticism...not pretty.

I dont think so either, but if I remember correctly, they have about 4 guys coming off the books, one being Dahntay Jones.

I dont think they have that much room left to play with cap wise either. So who knows, he might sign somewhere for more than the 1.6 mil he is getting paid now. Though he has stated he doesnt want to play anywhere else other than Denver. He had a good friend who took him in up there when he was going through the drug crisis.

Lawljk. My bad, he only makes 998k right now. Not sure why I thought 1.6. And while im editing it, they have 5 people coming off. Juwan Howard-42k, Jason Hart 300k, Birdman-998k, Jones-926k, and Anothony Carter- 1.2 mil. Im thinking they want to resign Jones and Carter... But they probably want birdman and one of those 2, rather than those 2 without birdman more so.

That being said, I would love to have birdman here. Or Gortat.

I think Wafer is an important part of the team. The guy can flat out shoot and that's what we need. He's like automatic every time he take a shot. And the fact that he also attack the basket relentlessly. It's hard to find players that can DO BOTH! You might find someone that shoot good but don't attack or not good at attacking (see Rafer and Luther). This guy fit EXACTLY what the team needed.

So i hope he resign because he's very important just like Artest.

I like what Wafer contributed this year. But I am still skeptical and would be extremely careful not to overpay him.

For those who say he is a "light out" shooter, he never shot better than 30% in the 3 seasons before he joined the Rockets. He didn't play much in those seasons. It could be that he needed the PT and the confidence to shoot well. Or it could be that this season was a fluke for him.

When he shoots well, he is a valuable bench player. When he doesn't shoot well, he is a liability because he has low BB IQ and is a hot head.

If the Rockets sign Jamario Moon I wonder if Tmac will stand there and watch him dunk during fast breaks in practice all the time.
