Holy **** the Cubs pitchers are going to win this series for them, but not by pitching. But by hitting.
Gillaspie you damn legend. That 6 out save ain't looking so pretty for Maddon now. Crawford adds another
Also gave pence an extra strike on the 1-2 pitch that was almost down the middle. MLB wants the Giants to win.
Contreras dropped it, or are you referring to another pitch? Replay =/= strike zone. One is in real time; the other you had a chance to overturn it, which was blatant. Plus I was joking since it was a rhetorical question...
I'm not serious either, but I don't think the catcher catching or dropping the ball is relevant....it wasn't a foul tip
I really don't remember it now, but was it that close? It seemed like it just landed outside because of where Contreras had his glove. Didn't end up mattering since Pence struck out anyways. Strike zone calls suck and you can always debate them in live time, but when you mess up on a replay that took a long time, that's not a good look.
Giants gotta end it in the bottom of the 9th or they'll probably suffer a heartbreaking loss at the hands of their pathetic bullpen.
Expected the Giants to win this game pretty easily. Can't say I wasn't bummed out when we blew it in the 8th, but that Bryant HR in the 9th really took the sting off. I had the Cubs winning this in 4, and I still expect it to happen.
Would anybody be shocked if the Cubs completely blow this series? I'm sure even Cubs fans are somewhat numb to the whole thing.
