I agree. I'm not mad, necessarily, but I am watching every Dallas person I know jump on the Ranger bandwagon when I know these same folks didn't give a rat's ass about them even mid-season this year.

It would be a damn shame if the first WS in Texas went to a bunch of bandwagon Cowboy fans.

And RM1991: Does that mean you were born in 1991? As in you were 4 when the Rockets last won a championship?

    Without Halladay, Phillies don't advance.

Without Oswalt, Astros never would have advanced.

And if I had to pick any of these offenses left to win me a game, it would be the Rangers 10 out of 10.

I'm a die-hard Astros fan, but seeing these Rangers' fans celebrating reminds me of how I felt 5 years ago.

The Rangers are a classy team owned by one of the best Astros players ever. They have no ill-will with the Astros, and personally I am thrilled to see them advance. I guarantee you there is not a single person in America (besides a few insecure Houstonians) thinking that this makes the Astros look worse in any way.

I have absolutely no problem seeing some new life in the World Series. Especially a team from Texas.

I know what you are saying, but the Rangers have always been dead to me. I can't conjure up any feelings about them at all. I've never run into any jerky fans (like with the Cowboys) and they aren't rivals at all to the Houston team (like the Mavs), they don't have owners that I think is either a lowlife (Jerry Jones) or makes me sick to my stomach (Mark Cuban).

The Rangers fit my bill of a rundown, pathetic franchise that is finally having it's day in the sun. That's a good story to me. Lastly, taking down the Yankees is the cherry on top. :)

Since the Yanks and Sox are both dead, I'm now interested in baseball.

Yes the Bandwagon is at max capacity. I internally rage every time I check facebook and see every person repping the Texas Rangers.

I would challenge any of them to even name 5 players on the Rangers roster.
I'm not even a Ranger fan and I could list off most of that team.

And yes I was 4 when the Rockets last won a championship. Depressing isn't it?

Ever since I have joined the Houston sports scene we have been championship less :(

(Minus the Houston Comets  )

And here come all the bandwagon fans....expect an influx of Rangers hats, shirts, bumper/window stickers, and "fans".

Congrats to the city of Arlington, and the Texas Rangers.

I could honestly careless who wins the WS...since Houston isn't involved, and the Yankees are out. (F the Yanks).

**** the Rangers, let them have their 15 minutes of fame. Hope they get swept by the Giants or Phillies and go back to sucking next year after Cliff Lee leaves for New York.

    Preach it Brotha, preach it.

I hope the Angels return to the top of that division and the Rangers go back to the cellar where they belong.

LOL at all the haters. I'm gonna laugh when the Rangers win a world series GAME before the Astros, let alone the world series itself.

We just got owned by a pitcher with the worst stuff in the league.

Hoping for Stephen Drew at SS, and Carl Crawford.

I'm sorry but neither the giants nor phillies will beat these guys. Especially wiyh Lee pitching more than 2 games and Hamilton hotter than a Texas summer.

My friend who lives in Amarillo, TX is an idiot. She's never lived or even been to Arlington and she claims to be a huge Rangers fan all of a sudden when the ALCS began. She's also a Cowboys "fan" even making a facebook album of her and her family titled "true cowboys fans". Go figure....

    Bold words indeed.

Halladay<Lee.....I guess? Depends on if Halladay is fully healthy. After all he did throw 2 no hitters and one against the best offense in the national league.

Oswalt/Hamels is better than the #2/#3 of the Rangers easily. Even if they did have success against the Yankees.

If it was Philly/Rangers I'm sure the underdog in Vegas would be the Rangers.

You'd be going against the National League champions with home field advantage.

    Tough Odds to beat.
