Yup... CC increasing his already lousy 1.542 career postseason WHIP (71.1 IP). And the Rangers not able to take advantage of it today.
I think Wilson is more comparable to Jonathan Sanchez. A couple of lefties that didn't break through until their late 20s. Both lead their respective leagues in walks this season and have nearly identical WHIPs.
I think Cain will be the key if the Giants and Rangers meet up in the Series. Lee can more then offset Timmy and Sanchez equals Wilson but the Rangers don't have anyone to go against Cain. Wilson crumbled today badly so Sanchez may now have the edge on him too.
The Yankees bullpen is kind of shaky so the Rangers aren't out of it yet, but they'll probably have Rivera go two innings today.
Anything can happen but I think that final out in the 6th that CC got sealed the deal on this one. Rivera hasn't pitched in the last 2 games so it's been several days since his last outing. I'm sure he can go 1+ today.
I don't hate the Rangers. Texas represent. I do hate the Mavericks, but not as much as I did before. I directed all of the negative feelings I had for the officials to the Mavericks.
HUGE inning for the Phillies, their offense has been sub-par these whole playoffs so some clutch hits would be a welcomed sight.
Walking the leadoff man is bad news, walking the leadoff man after your team has given you the lead...criminal!
I don't get the Ranger hate. I could understand if they played in the same division as the Astros, but it's not like their fans are obnoxious like the Cowboys.
