I assume he'll forgive you for that but as for me, I can't forgive you for being a Yankees fan.

Wow, Lee painted the edge of the zone on just about every pitch in that A-Roid AB. His command is just amazing when he's on his game.

It's all good, and yes I am an Astros fan.

I could careless about the Yankees, but since Berkman is on the team I have to root for them.

Not to mention there is no way I could ever root for the Rangers.

I am divided between wanting to see Berkman and Andy in the playoffs (and the inevitable Roy O vs Berkman matchup) or rooting for Texas to show Drayton that Tal Smith has now shown the door to two great baseball minds in Hunsicker and Nolan Ryan.

He's an amazing pitcher, and a terrible matchup for the Yankees.

Nolan Ryan has very little to do with the current players on Texas' roster. That's pretty much all Josh Daniels.

If anything, his success in his first year with the organization is sort of equivalent to Les winning in his first year with the Rockets... which was a team built by Steve Patterson, not Les.

He has been the president of the club for almost three years now. He has had a large hand in their current success.

I remember reading, somewhere, that when Ryan was the president of the club he installed a new pitching philosophy that has help the staff a great deal. I'll have to find the article but he has had an influence on the organization before he became owner.

You can have all of that you need... but eventually you also need talent.

Years of sucking, and a smart/savvy GM, have allowed the Rangers to stockpile young talent to fill the MLB roster, as well as to trade for to get guys like Cliff Lee.

They finally figured out how to "build" a team through scouting/draft/development. Something the Astros are going to have to end up doing the hard way after failures such as the 2007 draft.

No doubt, Daniels has made a huge difference. Mets where hot after him and Ryan/Greenberg quickly said they wanted to sign him longterm, the kid has made the biggest difference.

Cliff Lee proves he is a mortal and gives up his first hit.

Getting to 2B would be a small victory for the Yankees at this point.

The Yankees need to do something here. It very well could be their best chance all night.

Edit: been flipping back and forth, didn't realize Lee's PC was so high... still a big opportunity

I hardly ever watch Yankees games. I am not a hater but man can the guys in the booth make it any more obvious they would be willing to give Jeter a BJ?

Cliff Lee's got one more inning in him, I don't trust the Rangers bullpen.
