Interesting note: Q was the only catcher to pick Rollins off this season.

This home plate umpire is really off.. he's not calling the game consistently.

    Agreed.

And Cody Ross is in beast mode.

Dammit, that's typically how Oswalt gets in trouble.

Oswalt never backs down, always pitching aggressively in the strike zone

Cody Ross may end up being the most important acquisition this season, even more then Oz, and it cost the Giants NOTHING.

Yup, we were talking about that earlier. Their GM really did a tremendous job of finding pieces here and there without sacrificing much at all. Posey delivering as a rook like many knew he could do was obviously huge as well.

IIRC, it was just last season that the Giants had an anemic Astros-like offense.

And I think it's actually fair to say that Ross has surpassed beast mode given the stage and the pitchers he's faced.

    He's entered the Scola zone.

I think Werth would be happy to never face Sanchez again. Dude owns him.

    Way to go, Roy!

Regrouped well after getting rattled momentarily in the last inn by the Ross HR.

Scola zone? You went too far, he needs to hit 5-7 more homers to even sniff that zone

I wonder if they will PH for Oswalt even if he gets through this inning quickly.

Oswalt's fearlessness is amazing at times. Ross gave that a good run.

    Made Pat look dumb haha.

Reminded me of last year when Oswalt completely fooled Manny in LA

That is how I always felt about him when he was pitching for the Astros. He would continually challenge Pujols time after time.

I actually vaguely remember that. I think he saves one or two of those for late in games but I've seen him throw one earlier at times, too.

Fearless. Almost too much so at times. But that's a big part of what makes him successful, too.
