Against the Reds for their career: Roy Haladay 1-1 Roy Oswalt 23-3 Cole Hamels 6-0 Reds just don't have the relief pitching to hang with the Phillies' bats. I think Lidge will be like his old self, when he was a great closer. Phillies starters will all go 7 IP at least against the Reds. This will be a warm up series for them. Sorry Hayesfan, just sayin'.
Hoping Braves and Phillies win, just so I might get the opportunity to catch Oswalt in ATL. Though I hate the Braves so much.
the Giants are the team I'm rooting for. Lincecum is my favorite player not wearing an astros uniform. i think they'll handle the Braves...setting up a fantastic NLCS against the Phils...incredible pitching matchups every night in that series. if you ask me to bet with my head and not my heart...i'll tell you Phils over Rays in the World Series.
Except the Yankees, all the teams in the playoffs I don't mind to see win it all. Though I'm pulling for the Phillies.
The Twins have been my favorite team in the gimmick league since Kirby Puckett was there, so I'm definitely rooting for them. And I'd like to see the Phillies do well for Oswalt and Lidge. As much as I like Berkman, that's not enough to make me root for the Yankees, even a little bit.
Anybody but the Braves or Reds. Berkman is a Yankee Ryan owns the Rangers Oswalt is a Phillie How can anyone not like the Rays/Twins/Giants?
the thought of my obnoxious friends from dallas celebrating a world series makes me shudder. i will have difficulty sleeping tonight just considering that.
Ah, the elusive Rangers fans. While they're just as annoying as other Dallasites, they are much more rare, and only come out every 15 or so Octobers.
they are as elusive as Mavs fans were when i was in college in the early to mid 90's. seriously, you couldn't have a baseball discussion with guys from dallas then. i had lots of friends from that part of the state...none of them were interested.
Rays all the way!!! Hopefully a world series winning team will convince the owner not to cut payroll and resign Crawford, though I doubt it.
Hopefully it would help get a new field and maybe actually convince fans to come see one of the best teams in baseball.
