Oh, I get the feeling you're going to see an interesting strike zone and calls leaning towards the road team tonight. MLB at the very least needs this series to go longer. No other one has come even close to going the distance this year.
I've never understood why a 3-1 deficit is considered such a difficult uphill battle in baseball. Teams win 3 in a row all the time during the regular season. Of the 6 postseason series thus far (the division series, and the LCS), 5 of them had a team win 3 games in a row. Cleveland just won 3 in a row in this very series. Combine that with the fact that you have Beckett and Schilling going in the first two games, it isn't much of a stretch to see this going 7 games, though I certainly hope it ends tonight to show the stupidity of having 5 days off between the LCS and WS. They said that if the Rockies sweep the World Series, they will have played 11 games in 27 days - the same amount as the Colorado Avalanche. Ridiculous. Why on earth was there a need for a day off yesterday AND tomorrow in this series?
Local writers here are saying that if it's a Colorado-Cleveland match-up, the Rockies should have John Elway throw the first pitch. I like that idea. BTW, the game off yesterday was because the NLCS was supposed to still be going and they wanted to let them have at least one game that didn't start after midnight. Had the NLCS gone 5 games, they would have played last night at 8 pm EST.
But to do that, they had to stick an off day between game 4 and 5 of the NLCS too. They could have skipped both of those off days, and the NLCS game 6 could have been primetime by itself today. Alternatively, they could have moved everything a day or two and had a pair of games on Saturday and Sunday instead of 1 game each, so they could have played in the daytime (which would also be good for October temperatures). Having two games Friday and two games Monday but one game each on Saturday and Sunday is absurd.
Nah...Cleveland wants to celebrate in their own park tonight. And they will. Chief Wahoo be berry happy tonigh.....

Joe Buck good grief the guy is just grating to listen to ~ god forbid Manny jog to first after hitting one out (yeah I think it was over the line).
That's not terribly surprising. That means comebacks happen about 1 out of every 6 times. If you consider each game a 50/50 situation, the chances of you winning 3 straight should be 1 in 8 - so teams come back from down 3-1 more often than just random chance would even suggest.
Well, color me wrong! Tribe had better close it out against Schilling in game 6. They do not want to play a game 7 at Fenway.
i don't get it what's wrong with a 390 foot single, i don't think it's different from a 436 foot double, sox just have cc's number, fausto better pretend them boys are the daddy yankees or it looks like it will be all over in game seven, beckett another texas legend...
The fact that Ramirez jogged down the line is what was wrong. If Ortiz can score standing up with no play on him from 1st, the batter (whoever it is) should easily be on second.
