Yeah, they pick NOW to do their channel switches. I guess TBS is now going to be on 72 and they haven't gotten around to it yet? FX is now on 31 where TBS was.
On that note, when the Rockets win the championship this year I'm going to put a cap in someone's ass if they start playing "Simply The Best" at Toyota Center.
Yah my bad, I guess I should have said that it seems as though recent postseasons have really been a crapshoot. Like you both stated recent champs nearly blew their division leads and then go on to win the whole thing. Not many people had the Rockies winning the Wild Card and now they are in the World Series. Sorry my baseball memory was off.
LOL... Rockies fans just booed the Diamondbacks when the Vice Chairman tried to congratulate them on a good season.
Well it looks like my Sox are about done. Terrible starting pitching outside of Beckett and getting offense from really only Manny and Ortiz has killed them. Lowell and Youk have had their moments, but by and large, the Red Sox offense in the ALCS has been Manny and Ortiz. Meanwhile, look at the Indians offense - every game, it is someone different who comes through for them - Peralta, Lofton, Gutierrez, Trot Nixon, Blake, etc. I'm still waiting for the game where Julio Lugo or Dustin Pedroia comes through in a big way offensively for the Sox. And it has been very disheartening to see the Sox handle CC and Carmona but be absolutely baffled by Westbrook and Byrd. I feel for Theo Epstein who is going to get skewered this off-season for the moves he made and how they have been busts for the most part in J.D. aka Nancy Drew, Gagne aka Gag-Me, Lugo, and Dice-K. And I wonder if Francona is going to continue to be a stubborn mule and keep Pedroia at the leadoff spot instead of moving him down (obvious that he is pressing up there) and continue to play Crisp who is pathetic offensively instead of Ellsbury. Oh well - if my Sox had to lose someone, I'm glad it is to Cleveland. Here's to hoping that the Indians can win the WS after a 59 year drought.
Keep your chin up Manny, remember they were down 3-0 to the Yankees and were trailing in the bottom of the 9th in game 4 in 2004. Also, when things are going badly, just remember what Tim McCarver said last night (paraphrasing): "A leadoff Home Run leads to more multi-run innings than a leadoff walk."
francona looked like a genius for four innings but if they get this series back to boston anything can happen those bats might finally wake up and the pitching might keep the native americans under 6 runs, best thing about the nlcs being over is no more chip caray, they better find someone else for next year or espn better buy them out
Is there a more annoying & completely uninformative announcer/commentator in all of sports? I think not.
the guy who does the b games for fox and i think he also does the rangers games, he is equally annoying
Joe Buck is borderline unlistenable, and Josh Lewis isn't much better but neither can touch Caray. When the NYT writes an article outlining your on-air stupidity, you know you've arrived.
The Tribe is closing it out tonight. This ain't 2004. MLB may not want an Indians-Rockies World Series, but it will be an exciting one to watch.
^^^ Thas pretty funny! Come on Manny! The Sox have the Indians right where they want em' right? Coming back down 3-1 shouldn't be any problem for you guys right?
