I wonder what are the Reds thinking right now? And that's including the fact that they got an All-star 24-year old starting pitcher in return for Hamilton. Hell, with the way he's captivated Yankee Stadium, I wouldn't be suprised if Steinbrenner puts together a package of their best pitcher, plus $$$, RIGHT NOW for Josh. They were chanting "Ham-il-ton!" for christ's sake. And it wouldn't be the first time the Yankees stole something (someone) from the Rangers.
I wonder if they'll even make Hamilton swing in the 2nd round if nobody surpasses his total (which is doubtful). Actually, I'm pretty sure they wont.
He'll probably be given the opportunity to. If he really wants to win then he'll decline. If he wants to play to the crowd then maybe he'll try to hit a few more.
The Reds should be pissed. I'd be pissed. Volquez is likely to flame out. But at least they're not the Rays.
Hamilton looks like he's taken a few cycles and that old man looked like he was just lobbing them up there after a while. I'm with you. These guys and now Reggie Jackson are killing me - it's a slow death.
This is sending the message: "Yes. It's ok to do heroin for a few years. You can always quit using and be productive later in life."
Well not necessarily. The top two guys, which will be Hamilton and someone else will go to the final, where it starts all over again. But then again, realistically yes it is over. Hamilton is too good.
If they don't bring up the past then the story of his recovery and success isn't as good. And since when is 71 not old?
Yeah, I was reading that and thinking, all day long I've been hearing people yap about AROD and how he didn't show up, so any talk about the new and undisputed Master of Baseball is welcome. This is such a great story to follow. And 71 is old.
