Please, I'm more of versatile poster than that dude. I post on topics that the clutchfans feel like talking about. Plus, don't even try an entertainment quality poll cause i'd bust TraderGeorge like he's Walter Mondale. Plus I've met Hakeem, Otis Thorpe, Clyde, Horry and Calvin. Being blessed by the gods that created joy we call CLUTCHCITY, the orginal reason why we are CLUTCHFANS. I've the chosen one, don't hate. I'm NEO, you other dudes are just AGENT SMITHS.
I went ot a day Marlins game in Miami once during May and let me tell you it was absolutely miserable - you are trapped in bright sunlight, there is absolutely no shade, it is 9,000 degrees. The only recourse is to move on to the concourse and drink overpriced fruity liquor drinks and watch the game on TV. Likewise, the stadium is miles away from anything remotely relevant in Miami. Otherwsie the whole experience was a blast.
Miami has always been a dreaded sports town. Have any of you actually seen a Miami Heat game? American Airlines Arena is always have empty at the beginning of games...even during the playoffs. If you thought Houstonians were bad with the Rockets at Toyota Center, it doesn't come close to the Heat. Remember when the Heat made everyone in the arena wear white during the playoffs? It was to make the arena look "full." They even covered the sheets in white fabric even if no one was sitting there.
1. At least, Marlins know who their real fans. You have to have courage to be the one of the only people sitting in the stadium watching a sub-par baseball team. 2. The Marlins should probably ship out by the end of next year, right now, they get more people watching them on the road than at home by couple of thousands....no I am wrong almost 15,000 more on the road. That's a pathetic fan base. They are the epitome of what you call bandwagonin' di*kwads. The Marlins won those championships, not the city of Miami or the state Florida....that just happen to play there. it's not like Yankees or Red Sox, where the Red Sox are Boston and Yankees are New York. 3. More people watch the Pirates on the Road after the Cubs, Mets, Yanks, and Sawks than any other team. Unbelievable. 4. Is a very skill oriented and cerebral sport. It takes lot of motor skill and control to be even a below average player. It requires more hand and eye coordination than most other major sports. Even though, it's not my favorite sport to watch...September and October can pretty fun, especially when it gets to the last week of season or the playoffs.
I don't think that because South Florida is a major market. I believe they'll find what they're looking for...if not in Miami, in a surrounding city.
The alamo dome is way to small for a baseball configuration. Chase Field is similar in shape but is a lot wider. Home to centerfield would be like 200 feet.
They are the two most popular teams, they have the best rivalry in all of sports, and they are both good teams and have been for years. No one would tune in to see a Royals game.
I have. One of the worst/funniest experiences of my life. They praise themselves over how they were champions 2 years ago and how they are "the best" team in the NBA. They think they are ghetto so they have an opening intro music video of all the people on the team rapping and wearing Dwade's clothes.
