Ok, thanks. In conversation, context matters. If you said 'Hakeem', on a Houston Rockets forum, I'm going to assume Dream, right? Or Madonna or Beyonce or Taylor Swift- most people are going to know who those people are, at least having heard their names somehow. But some person referred to as MKBHD...I thought somehow my pop culture zeitgeist awareness had failed me. Nah, he's just some dude who reviews tech on YouTube and plays 'pro' frisbee. Very niche. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i don't understand why this dude is getting so much hate. Nobody has to download an already dumb app about wallpapers. you also don't have to pay the fee. I don't even understand why a dude that is already rich would put his name on a dumbass wallpaper app.
When i watch other Gadgets/Tech reviews; Google always tries to push his stuff in the recommended section. His channel is OK, info is generally enough, but I think the sleek video production is what get lot of people. A channel that big, he has people behind him to help with the R&D and video production. In tech video reviews (not his), I love it when a reviewer pre-empt his audience with something like: "For those wondering about the wallpaper in the comments, it's the stock wallpaper for Windows / MacOS "
