I read somewhere on another board where some people were pesemistic about the alston trade, because they think he is a bad post entry passer.

My reply to that is when has he played with a true center??

I'll trust JVG. He knows the type of player he wants and usually gets them.

Im blown away by JVG/Dawson. Great work guys. I guess when JVG was referring to boneheads he meant....trading him for a real PG :)

Our starting five looks real solid and we have a really good bench. I cannttt wait for the season to staaart!!!

How can you not like it?? We got a quality starter for a bench player who will likely be overpaid in another uniform next year! This trade is awesome!

Rafer Alston's a bum. Stan will let his bro know about it. There's probably better trade value for James.

I don't know about you guys but i kind of like Alston's work ethichs than MJ. Mike is not really a good ball feeder, he is more like a 2. I take Alston with the heartbeat!!!!

Alston, Wesley, TMAC, Swift and Yao....... Man that is scary!!! :D

I'm iffy on the trade. Rafer sounds too much like reefer. At least we no longer have to worry about Mo T.

You could make a case for Miami.

I might change my opinion after I see this team play a few games.

For now, I'm in the Not Sure column.

Guys, I hear all the love for Skip, but my gut feeling is we made a mistake. Something tells me the guy is unstable and will bite us late in the season. Hope I'm wrong.

I voted yes. I really liked Mike James, but he defers to himself way too much for this team. I think it will be a good trade for both teams.
