I always thought Yellow Ledbetter was the quintessential Veddermumble song. Max, I'd love to hear what yall think he's saying. I'm stumped. Another one I just thought of is Jerry Jeff's Up Against the Wall Redneck: Sure does like his Falstaff beer Likes to chase it down with that Wild Turkey liquor Drives a 57 beat up GMC pickup truck Got a gun rack, 'Goat ropers need love too" sticker' Didn't have a clue for the longest time what that line after "gun rack" was...sounded like "goat ropin' his long-toothed sister"...which is pretty f*ing sick.
quick google search: "With the birds I’ll share This lonely view " your version is just as good though. even flow isn't really that bad for vedder, yellow ledbetter even with lyrics in front of you is still difficult.
Chorus: Dont go around tonight, Well, its bound to take your life, Theres a bath room on the right. CCR
yellow ledbetter's lyrics change just about every time it's performed live! with the exception of the chorus, which even itself is occassionally tweaked. I'm serious.
I used to go to amiright.com every day. You can have lots of fun with that site. Some of them are more fun to sing than the real lyrics. Starship: "They built this city on the wrong damn road." (and glad to know I'm not the only one who has wondered about Kiss From a Rose for, oh, the last eleven years...)
That's what I always thought it was. He does mumble it somewhat but it's the only thing that made sense to me. What always got me was Men at Work's 'Down Under' He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich always sounded to me like He just smiled and took a bite of my sandwich LOL
