Come on JB, I know you didn't mean this. #1, check Akeem's numbers as a rookie. #2, Akeem was the focus of the offense for a team that dominated Magic's Lakers in the playoffs and took 2 from the '86 Celtics. Yao isn't anywhere close to that good right now.
I don't care who the focus of the offense is around as long as the Rockets win, but I just wanted to point out that Jordan isn't the only exception to this rule.
I have read a bunch of the responses on this thread. My thoughts are that Francis needs to start playing D and not give up career high's to the likes of Kevin Ollie, Milt Palacio (whatever his name is) and every other scrub point guard in the NBA. I give his D an F for last season. It's not because he is not capable of playing it, he just refuses to because he is too cocky. He has made comments that point to that like when he got burned by Kevin Ollie in a crucial game against seattle at the end of the year. He said that he didn't respect his game so he didn't play much attention to him. Well the rockets lost that game and Kevin Ollie was probably the difference. INSIDE OUT. That is the only way the rockets are gonna make the playoffs.
andy moon, did you really just say that lambier and parrish were dominant centers? i really don't think anyone in their right mind would agree with you. parish was decent, but he only racked up big numbers because of longevity, and lambier was a defensive thug.
I'm still trying to figure out what Francis has done in five years to have earned the right to be the Rockets so-called "number one option". I pity the fool!
