It's not about tanking the season, the season is already over, we're saying tank the remainder of the games. Speaking of tanking, Minnesota is pissing me off. Garnett is playing about 20 minutes and if you watch that team there is not a more obvious display of tankers in the league. It's ok for the Rockets to tank, but other teams, they shouldn't be allowed to tank.

Of course once you can't win a championship you should tank. This is the Rockets, not some scrub franchise seeking moral victories before an offseason that begins before may.

In truth we don't need to lose on purpose. But of course Yao, Tmac, Wesley and Howard should not touch the court the rest of the season. See who is keepers of young FAs and showcase Swift for a trade (or to build for next year). Nothing more.

Warriors have shown that they know how to get it done. Missed layups, 3 pointers made after the buzzer, guarding Yao with Murphy...we're just being outclassed out there.

Good to see Juwan playing well

Now we know why JVG doesn't play Stro with Yao enough, he's afraid Stro will mess up the tanking job.

Now stop playing Stro in this Warrior game, that's enough.

    Not smart, JVG, Not smart.

We need to sign Tony Tanks, er, Tony Banks to play the last six games. That's one guy who knows how to tank.

I understand that losing will get us a higher draft pick which means more LIKELY a better rookie next season. But our players are professionals and I hardly believe they would play for losing on the court. BTW, no matter how top we are in the draft pick, we can only pick ONE and that would not be enough for a championship contender. We need at least 5 more decent role players aside T Mac and Yao. So I think during this summer, apart from getting T Mac's health back, which the organization can have little control, the most important goal and the organization could definitely achieve, is to develop/"enhance" our "keepers".

Like someone suggested before in another thread, we should play our potential "keepers" more from now on. The playing time in a real NBA game is way different from summer league and pre-season games. Design some game plans for them and see how well they execute. I have high hopes on Swift, Hayes, Bogans and Head. Bogans and Head have gained their playing time and I would like to see Swift and Hayes more. Don't bench them so soon if they made mistakes, let them play significant period of time to regain their confidence on the court.

Sigh. We can't do anything right this season. When we needed to win, we blew it. When we need to lose, we blow it too. Looks like JVG wants us to win the booby prize.

Losing to the Warriors would send a message to the league that we're tanking on purpose.

David Stern would then impose a dress code on the Rockets.

There is no mention of JJ Redick..wouldn't he be a good shooter if we don't end up with any of the 8 on that list...Noah already said he is staying in college..true reddick can't create his own shot but with Yao and Tracygetting doubled all the time, he doesn't have to.....reddick is deadly from the perimeter..I think he would be a good fit...then hopefully we can sign one other free agent guard who can shoot and a power forward....

It's become even more critical that we lose as much as possible, now that the 3 Gators have dropped out. It'll be difficult to get a quality player that can help right away unless we have one of the top 6 picks or so.

Or, you can look at it this way: a lottery team that wants to draft a frontcourt player has one less option. Swift is starting to look pretty good right now.

    Losing Games?

I can't believe some of you guys want the team to end the season on a down note. They need to play hard in all 6 remaining games and try to win them all. A lottery pick isnt what it used to be. No player coming coming out of this years draft is going to turn around a team just like that. You guys forget Tmac only played in 47 games Yao missed 22 games Alston missed 18 games and Sura missed the entire season. Our 4 main guys missed alot of time so don't you think if they play an entire injury free season together we win 54-58 games total? I DO. Get Tmac and Yao healthy add 2 long range threats in the offseason and get a hard nosed tough minded rebounder at the 4 spot and Houston is right on par with the Suns and Mavs and ahead of the Nuggets,Grizzlies and Clippers. The Rockets will be right back on top next season and all the Mavs fans who have berated us will eat there words bigtime. Go Rockets!!!

We are eliminated now. Even if we were to make the playoffs-we'd get stomped in the first round.

If we got Tmac back and weren't eliminated I have no doubt we would make the WCF.

It's a big IF for all of the four to be healthy next season, I am not sure Sura will come back.

That's a lot to do in one off-season. I will be happy if they get one long-range shooter.

Sura will be back next season mark my words. Van Gundy wants him back and Tmac and Yao know he is the heart and soul of this Rockets team. Alston will most likley still start but Sura will get his mins. Bogans should be resigned. I think Howard should finish his 1 year left on his deal here in Houston. I'm torn on David Wesley I know we could probably get someone better in here but he's still a good perimiter defender, dishes the ball out well to other players and if he finds his touch consistantly I'd want to keep him on this team for 1 more season. Give me your thoughts. Go Rockets!!!

It can be the difference between Charlie Villanueva and Yaroslav Korelev. I don't think anyone expects the draft to bring in a franchise player, but a few slots up could mean a huge difference.
