You can actually see Van Gundy starting either one of the Brewer boys over Wesley, Head, or Bogans?

Shoot, I can see a lot of guys starting over those guys. I can't see any guys in the NCAA that coach would start over his established vets though.

    TANK!TANK!TANK!

If you want to see an ugly shot watch Shawn Marion of the Suns shoot yet somehow the ball goes in. So bring on Brewer as long as the ball goes in.

Wrong Williams. It's Marcus Williams from UConn who makes it a top 9.

I agree that these games we need to lose. There is no excuse for winning these games. none. I think if the Rockets don't lose at least one of these next two games they are done and will be left out of the lottery positions from where we can draft an impact player. These next few games are must losses.

Who said starting? You draft a guy, bring him off bench, and develop into a starter. Isn't that what we did with Head?

Ronnie Brewer has better all-around skills, but Corey Brewer has the allstar potential, and he's pretty good already. I say draft Corey, put him behind Tmac/Wesley (if he's still here, if not, Head) and give him 20 minutes a game. From what I see, this guy has the talent to be the next Tayshaun Prince.

Head and Bogans aren't exactly established. If Wesley returns, Van Gundy might favor him which I think would probably be a mistake.

I said STARTING. This team's greatest need is a 3rd scoring threat, not another developing player coming off the bench.

We need a starting SG and we need a new starter at the PF positon with the SG being the biggest need because of needing a 3rd primary scorer.

You want a guy who comes in and start for you on day one? Go ahead and draft Lebron James with your #10 pick of the draft, he started for the Cavs.

But, don't you draft this Yao Ming guy if he's available!!! He couldn't start from the beginning. If he couldn't start over Kelvin Cato, there must be something wrong with him. Yeah, also this Tmac guy, he didn't start for two years for the freaking Raptors. Don't you ever dare to touch a guy like that if he's available!

No worries... if the refs keep calling BS fouls and take out Yao in the 3rd quarter as witnessed in the Sonics game (I don't think they should be labelled BS since it's actually a blessing in disguise according to Clutch's logical reasoning), then the Rocks can lose all the remaining games.

Let's start a Corey Brewer fan club. We'll call the members "COF".

Seriously, even if we don't land the top 10 picks, this guy is a very good option. I just hope that the Rockets front office don't screw up in the draft.

Corey won't last that long on the board. He'll be a top 8 pick for sure. That's why we need to tank!

Bogans. Frahm, Head and Alston, if they improve are only good enough to paly in the back up roles on a championship team. Wesley is at a stage where he is only a shadow of his former self and is only worth a tail end of the bench position. If I was JVG I would try to move Wesley, Swift Hayes,Howard,Brunson,Mutombo, and BOWEN as part of our trades.WE must get younger, taller and more athletic!

At this stage of the season I must agree with you Clutch that going for a better draft pick is of vital importance but I do think that Yao Ming should continue to try and improve his stats. Some how we still need to be attractive to free agents and our only selling card at the present time is Yao Ming. So I say let Yao go for it and move up the ranking lists.

a loss tonight would be huge for us since the celtics, wolves, warriors, and magic all have winable games tonight.

There will be some diamonds in the rough, mind you.

Mardy Collins is a tall, defensive-minded PG. He should be around if we draft at 11.

But Brandon Roy would be perfect for this team, and we need to snag him.

y'know i would want tmac to play in one last game. and see him getting like 50 points and rockets win against an above .500 team. just to have that sense of relief that he is his old self again and what we're gonna expect next season.

Not a good idea. How many times has he come back to a game after he said that his back was feeling good only to see a reoccurring injury during the game. It's not worth the risk. He needs all summer to strengthen his back. With a good pickup in the draft, we should be ready to rock 'n roll next season.

The Rockets shall seriously think to trade their draft picks if possible. The Rockets are at least 4 players (2, 4 & bench) away from being a contender. If they look to do it through draft picks, then they shall seriously think to trade T-Mac. T-Mac's playing window is closing fast and wont afford another 2-3 years of rebuilding. I always like Yao + T-Mac, that's why I hope the Rockets can acquire players through trade.
