Well, I guess this team doesn't believe in tanking. Boston lost tonight, GSW has a pretty good lead on the JailBlazers. Houston (34-47) Boston (32-49) Minny (33-48) GSW (34-48) So where does that put us....7th, 8th, or 9th?
Honestly, I've never been a person who wants to fire JVG, but after this...i seriously would not care. just pack it in already. christ, how much you wanna bet we beat the spurs on wednesday? Here are the Nuggets, a team that just doesn't give a crap, obviously playing half-assed, missing freethrows, and look at the Rockets: hustling for loose balls, getting steals. I could see this win coming a mile away, yet i kept watching, naively hoping that a nugget would care enough to make a shot. This win could easily set us back in the long term. Will we even be able to draft the good project guys such as Josh McRoberts? Can't wait to see that Brewer kid clank 3's for us next year. Hell, an act of God could occur, causing Roy, or Gay, or even Morrison to fall, and we'll be about 3 picks too far down.
Welcome to the club. The guy is a freakin dumb ass without a doubt. He has single handedly destoryed the Rockets. Bringing in old ass players Playing Yao when he was already hurt. Costing us a good draft pick. Somebody please remind me why we still have this idiot as a coach?
****ing ****. Rockets were close to getting a real player at 6, 7, 8. JVG probably want's us to fall into Redick range. gdb, I hate you. Oh and you blow herpes ridden donkeys Juwan.
Did anybody hear Bullard saying he had talked to Van Gundy and Van Gundy telling him he wants to bring in a whole new mix of players next year? What does that mean? How many mixes do we have to bring in here before we get his guys? I tell you, I've been trying to stay on the wagon with this coach but we keeping falling in so many holes I'm having trouble staying aboard. WHAT WAS HE THINKING? Maybe he's got a job lined up with Minnesota or Golden State next year.
Do you think anyone has sit down with JVG and talked with him about player rotation issue for the remaining meaningless games? Sometimes I wonder who's running the show for this organization. Monster.com commercial comes to mind.
I am very pissed. THERE IS NO DAMN REASON TO WIN (from the organizations point of view). This team will be overhauled. We are idiots......... We coulda had Roy or Gay....
obviously he's trying to up the trade value of the players on the court tonite with this win. Because trade is the main option of seriously improving the team now.
As I mentioned in the game thread, our coach is not stupid or dumb at all. He is just a selfish coward. He ranks his own reputation higher than the benefits of the organization.
Given all the press and rankings (though i know they are often as clueless as we are). We can still get Gay. His stock is falling. But there is still a few camps coming up that will change things. Hear is hoping that Shawne Williams and Noah still come out and a couple of players turn heads enough at the tryouts to move up. We still can get 8th pick as long as Portland does not make a comeback like we just did. Anyone trust our luck with coin tosses? Do we get to choose who picks the coin?? (yay. that stuff earlier on conference record was crap. I was misinformed.)
Well, just having a healthier roster from the start of the year would probably result in a whole new mix of guys.
It can't be more clear that Van Gundy has a very big role of deciding roster moves, and yet in his latest interview, he made it sound like it was always Les and CD making the calls .
I totally agree with this...Rudy would have had Lampje in there with Bronson, and Rybo, and Swift, and Bogans, no way we win with that lineup. DD
Great. So we won with a bunch of guys that aren't even going to be here next year. What kind of logic does that make. How can this "moral victory" mean anything if we're raising the morale of a bunch of guys that aren't in our future. Especially Juwan. Damnit JVG. I can't believe I'm saying this but this game would have been in the bag if he had benched Juwan in the second half. Seriously who gives a s*** if Juwan had a nice game and led us to the win. He's a has-been that's never going do anything more than a stop-gap for us. If we contend for a title it'll be despite him, not because of him. I just cannot believe that we won this game.
It's well known that players wanted to play under Rudy T. Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, and Scottie Pippen practically demanded trades to the Rockets. Many players were interested in playing under him. You just don't see that kind of talk with JVG. Since you only probably started following the Rockets when they acquired Yao Ming, you probably don't know that.
