Boy, I don't know why we traded our superstar PF PPat. We will rue the day we traded the best player in the league. Let me go cry in corner now. signed, Carl Herrera
If other people aren't getting him wide open jump shots, he is pretty useless. Excellent wide open jump shooter for a PF, but what happens when nobody consistently sets you up with those looks? Doesn't rebound, doesn't block shots, can't handle the ball, doesn't create his own offense consistently... Nice stretch 4 OFF THE BENCH
Ironic that 1/2 the complaints arent about Pat but are about Carl who "won't stop". Yet look at the people that have posted the most in this thread and keep bringing it up...people who compain about Carl. Comically ironic...
on a team with no future in their city a bunch of players who dont fit together only 1 decent defensive starter
He is but we had to suffer through weeks of Carl's whining that you would think we had traded away the best player in the league. But we'll see how good Robinson is in 2-3 years, then we can compare.
At least Patterson got to play non-garbage minutes, unlike No Más Robinson. I never said Patterson was a superstar, just that he is more useful than Robinson. Turns out to be true, given that the number of minutes McHale deems No Más should be allowed to play is close to zero even when his other choices are two other rookies and an undrafted player who played 5 games last season. The team has made the playoffs, but is, by the coach's own admission, still searching for PFs to trust putting into its playoff rotation-- not an ideal spot. Having a known quantity proven shooting PF like either Pat or Morris would be useful at least in some of these games and might have put the team in a better position to land the 6th seed. But whatever, it's pointless talking to some of you guys if you simply cannot see what the coaching staff see: Morey traded a guy whom they can use on the court for a guy whom they don't know what they are supposed to do with (in the words of Rick Adelman).
