CP3 is playing well because the demands of the team he is on is different. In addition its a style that's more in-line with his game but clearly their team is losing a lot of games because he cant carry a team anymore

If we have cp3, it is safe in the 4th quarter.

Here's Chris Paul's stats the last couple of years

    17-18
    4th quarter: 48.8 fg%, 39.5 3pt%, +2.9

    18-19
    4th Quarter: 43.5 fg%, 33.3 3pt% +2.9

    17-18
    Clutch Stats: 59.3 fg%, 50.0 3pt% +3.5

    18-19
    Clutch Stats: 25 fg%, 0.0 3pt% +0.4

CP's productivity in fourth quarters dropped significantly last year, and his performance in clutch situations was awful. He was 0-9 from 3!

And here's his stats in the postseason

    Playoff Clutch Stats
    16.7% from the field, 0-2 from 3, 1:1 Turnover:Assist ratio.

The problem isn’t people wanting the 17/18 CP3.

The problem is 19/20 CP3 is outplaying Westbrook so far.

It’s like people don’t realize that Westbrook is playing with dislocated fingers.

CP3 is playing with an even lower USG rate in OKC right now then he did in Houston last year. He's still playing off-ball, by deferring to SGA and Gallo by design. Meaning, he's content playing off-ball.

He's scoring at a higher rate than last season and much more efficiently, he currently has the 2nd highest TS% of his entire career (a whopping 10% higher than WB's current TS%). He currently has the highest free throw rate of his entire career as well, significantly higher than WB's free throw rate. CP3 turns the ball over WAY less, and plays much better defense on top of his gigantic offensive upgrade over WB.

WB's only advantage over CP3 is rebounding.

With his do or die attitude, dislocated fingers are somewhat small injuries, could be much worse.

Sure it is. It’s just ignorant to suggest that there wasn’t a style clash between CP3 and Harden and that CP3 would be performing the same as in OKC playing a style he doesn’t like.

CP3 didn’t want to play with Harden anymore....

He was gone. Who else were we getting for CP3?

If this is the case then he shouldn’t be playing.

But that’s not the case. He’s healthy enough. He’s just not good.
