11-5 this season versus 4-11 last season. Obviously there is, massive, room for improvement but let’s not act like shipping out CP0 hasn’t directly related to the teams improved start. *And yes I know there are other factors.
What team did Paul carry? Had it not been for the “unguardable tour” this team would have missed the playoffs last year. Weren’t we the 14th seed last season at some point. But oh yea, that was all Melo’s fault right? Lol How quickly we forget lol
Now you know 2 of those are swaps one of which is almost certainly not going to happen. It's Harden's age 30 season, you're either all in or you're out. Don't worry about 2 first round picks.
What is this a cult? Stop asking people to be delusional idiots about WB. In all reality my bad vibes came the second the trade was made. I’m actually content because it was obvious it was a terrible trade then. I guess it takes being exposed by every good team they’ve played to see it.
The Rocket didn’t take a gamble. There almost no chance Westbrook was gonna be better than Chris Paul. Westbrook is in steeper decline than him. He’s at 17.9 PER now. Down from 21 last year, 24 the year before, 30 the year before that. Aging, bad skill, bad BBIQ, and knee operations are a terrible combination. This was an extremely stupid move to get more money hype and excitement from Tillman. He figured the team wouldn’t win anyway(awful take, the Rockets last year were dominant contenders for MONTHS), and he may as well increase ticket sales with a big name. He tried this with Melo too. Westbrook goes on to expose himself as clown scrub on national TV. I know Tillman is hating this.
Having excitement, your BFF is more important. Leslie got his exciting coach Tilman got his exciting player Harden got his BFF. Now #shutupandenjoytheshow Spoiler I don't miss Chris Paul but I did fall in the excitement trap.
Imagine throwing away a 1st round pick simply to get out of the LT. Will they do it again this year? That's even worse. Thanks Tilman!
Ah yes PER, that great all encompassing stat that definitively tells you which player is better. PER currently has Mitchell Robinson as the 4th best player in the league, Ivica Zubac as the 9th best player, and Christian Wood at 13. Can't argue with that! Chris Paul is older NOW than Westbrook will be when his contract with the Rockets ends. But please, tell me more how Westbrook aging and having knee operations is a problem but a 34 year old Chris Paul who hasn't played more than 61 games in 3 years because of perpetually injured hamstrings isn't.
Westbrook is a box score guy. That’s his THING. The rebounds, the shot attempts, the assists. The ONE area he should still look decent in. And I know it’s not a perfect measuring, but it’s his thing. The stat sheet stuffer. Some logical part of you knows him making a drastic decline yearly in his numbers is some disturbing ****. Also, age is clearly not as important as you think. LeBron is the best player in the world at 35, Curry is WAY better than Westbrook and he’s a year and a half older. The fact that Westbrook is so bad at 30, makes this worse. Next year will be really, really bad at this rate. Westbrook is the new Melo and it’s obvious to anyone being realistic. Chris Paul is BETTER than last year, if anything. He just had back to back to back games giving Paul George and LeBron fits with his DEFENSE. Way better and will probably always be.
