Wood puts up stats not wins. Hopefully he learns how to impact the game in a way the actually influences wins. We'll see.
RoCo’s D >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wood’s D. They are not even remotely close to one another. Wood scores 20ish points but gives up 25.
One of those picks is worthless. So yea, you trade Robert Covington for a risrt roun you netted one pick that you will never get. Anyone could have gotten that for Covington....More level move....cmon and so far we are worse than last year
Sure they're different but Tate has all the defensive intangibles to have a similar impact on that end of the floor. If he can shoot the 3 at a 35% clip he will be a better player than RoCo.
Cmon man...do better. You gotta all this confidence at least try to understand that Covington's value(especially defensively) is not gonna show up on a normal box score. Also understand that this dude shot 50% for us from3 in the playoffs, some mediocre percentage now when he will obviously progress back to his average isnt indicative of how valuable he is as a player.
Gotta love people trying to evaluate a player like RoCo's impact using basic stats. Casuals expose themselves on this site everyday b. Anyways, I miss him and often wonder how good this current roster would be with him. He covered so much ground defensively. Desperately could've used him this year.
Missing RoCo resulted in Wood, so I'm not mad about it. You can miss a player, without turning it into player X versus. player Y. Like Ziggy said, it would have been great if we had both guys.
+4.9? Not exactly sure what you were getting at with that question? My post certainly didn’t mean to imply we shouldn’t have made the trade for Wood. Just a pushback on the “Covington and his crappy x amounts of points, rebounds and assists won’t be missed” talk as if he wasn’t productive for us last season.
