Someone need to tell Tmac that he's running out of excuses. Needs more time to get your shooting touch back? It has been 9 months, what more time do you need? You're a professional, star player earning max.

Here's an idea. Pair up with Yao, arrive 45 minutes early and start your shooting drill before practices and practice 45 minutes more afterwards to give Yao a ride home.

I'm ok for him trying to find his shoot in the game. I just hope all will be paid off later in the season. The Rockets need both Tmac's points AND his assist down the stretch.

Tmac, find that Unconscious ZONE quick, please!

Maybe he's using the old ball while practicing his jump shot at home. :) Someone forgot to buy him the cheap plastic basketballs.

lol all you haters are such dicks... do you realise how long the nba season is, and how much of a grind it is? Do you expect him to play with the energy and expenditure of a playoff game right now?

Do you expect him to throw down massive facials every game this early in the season and injure his back again? He's led this team to it's greatest start to the season ever since I can remember. Where do you think this team would be without him?

Sure he may have made a few mistakes this game and should have dished more, but seriously, this kind of hate makes me sick... happens after every loss, the mods should ban stupid thread starters and lock stupid threads.

I hope T-Mac returns to his old form, but at this rate I don't think its going to happen. At the beginning of the season I thought it was going to be just a slump, but today was the 15th game and he still hasnt improved that much from the start of the season. It's kinda of puzzling as to why he is so off considering the fact that he said his back is perfectly fine. People say he lost his explosiveness, but I mean if he said his back is peferctly fine then that shouldn't be a problem. Best case scenrio is that it's just his confidence that is holding him back otherwise I honestly dont see us winning a championship with him. T-Mac is fine right now being a playmaker, but if he can't score in the process we're not going to be contenders. Let's hope im wrong though.

I want this as much as anyone else.. but I'm afraid if the 04-05 Tmac comes back.. next season we'll get the 05-06 Tmac as a result.

I say trade him straight up for that noob kid, Lebron. I heard that kid has a little bit of talent. There's no replacing Tmac.. but I guess he'll have to do  :D

remember, in 05-06, t-mac was wheeled off the court in a friggin gurney. a gurney! i'm pretty sure t-mac remembers it, whether conciously, subconciously, or both. think about it, he faced the real prospect of not being able to even walk normally thanks to his back. he's only human, so it's understandable if he's gunshy about going to the hole with force, or elevating on his jumper with explosion, probably worrying about the landing.

despite him "saying" his back is perfectly gine, i think he needs more time to begin to fully trust his back again, if he is even capable of fully doing that, i don't know. maybe he needs to see a sports shrink. or maybe there's a real possibility that he'll never be the same, and it's all downhill from here. back injuries from what i've been told never fully heal, you just deal/cope as best you can for the rest of your life, and try to mitigate further damage. which is probably fine for average working joe's, but not for a pro baller that depends on that freakish athleticism for his success.

or, maybe stem cells would do the trick. didn't they work for chris reeve in southpark?

We should have beaten the Suns if T-mac shoots a little bit better, just a little bit better than 9-26. We should have pulled away in the 3rd quarter, and reply the blowout win in Phoenix couple years ago.

T-mac, please go shoot 500 shots after finishing team practice. We need you to play at least B grade game in order to win against good teams.

Today's Tmac is not the Tmac I have been loving and familiar with. Really fell somewhat disappointed, but I still believe that it will only last for a short period of time and then the old Tmac we love will be back!

TMac's prime is 02-03. He will never be back. He is very consistant from last year to now. He shot 40.6% last year and 40.8% this year. I do not expect he improve the percentage because this is what he is.
How about trade him for Paul Pierce. I think boston will not accept it.

i understand he hasnt touched the ball since march, and i know he'll be ok as the season progresses, i hope he finds that killer attitude he had.
    on a side note:
this isnt a big deal but he does look kinda "hollywood "with his hair, not that that matters, unless he is not focused on the team(see major league 2 charlie sheen's role),just used to the old look, for superstitious reasons, maybe he needs his leg brace back

either way tmac will get fed up and be back!

    The season is a marathon.

If TMac breaks down so will the Rockets.

If he stays healthy- he will rise again!

DD,something is wrong with Tmac. By now, he should be settling into a groove. Instead, I see schizophrenic play coming from him. I see him passing up good chances to drive inside and I see him throwing away/losing the ball and committing turnovers. Oh, and he's become a "volume shooter" ala Antoine Walker. There is something definitely not right about him be it physical or mental.

T-Mac has always been a volume shooter. This is the reason why i sometimes wonder if he is the right fit fot this team. Still think he is great, not sure if he is the right fit for a JVG team.

are you guys just being really optimistic?? if you actually think about it and watch how we play... it's very inconsistent with a lot of luck.. YAo is our only consistent person, with battier and hayes. T-mac can't hit 45% of his shots and rafer misses all his shots until the 4th quarter....... it doesn't matter if we win, it's how we win. and right now, it's not looking very good.

Not true, he shot over 45% during his first 6 seasons. That's a very good number for a guard. A volume shooter is someone like Antoine Walker or Iverson who shoots around 40%. He CAN get back to 45%, but he would need to start attacking the basket again.
