As part of the fix, Chris Paul said no to Beverley playing and was granted his wish. Didn't want to risk being injured since he knew Bev wouldn't go along with the script.
You really aren't saying a lot. We've seen cp3 work bigger and better pgs than beverly, but this board has turned him in gary payton. Remember how good of a defensive pg lowry was until he started to play starters minutes? Gimme a break! If harden would've held jj to 12pts vs 26 or if the team would've been closing on shooters, we wouldn't have this thread.
ive been missin you... missin you... missin you.... since you been gone.. away.... ive been missing you
I didn't read anyone say Bev could *stop Paul. He might be able to hassle him though. Perhaps cause Paul to miss an extra shot or two. Cause a little more hesitation on Paul's passing. Only a small disruption there can make a big difference. Every time AB was on Paul it was like a free layup or open pass. It's the +/- vs. the replacement player and I think there's no doubt the minutes AB got being replaced by Bev would have resulted in a positive delta.
ROckets took this game over with an 18-5 run in the 2nd half minus Bev. The difference is Damian Lillard is not CP3 and does not do as well a job getting his teammates involved., and the Blazers aren't as motion oriented in their offense as the Clippers, which clearly caused defensive issues.
