Whie Lin's stat lines look alright, tonight shows how we're missing Beverley. I think our defense is totally predicated on Beverley slowing down the opposing point guard. When you have an elite guard that is able to find slippery shooters that Harden can't cover, and he can dish lobs to athletic big men that can catch them, while keeping our bigs in foul trouble, you have a team we can't beat. Beverley would have slowed Paul at least a little and kept this game in reach, quite possibly.

All that needed to happen tonight was to have a couple things tip the scales for a blowout, and the Clippers found it in a few bad calls.

Teams like the Clippers and the Warriors are going to be tough for this team to beat.

    I'm just saying.

Beverley will get thrown out in this game due to the refs blowing their whistle for Paul.

Beverley may not have made enough of an impact to win this pathetic performance that was the Rocket's performance tonight, but he plays hard and he plays tough.

This team needs more of him and more of his mentality.

It's not just Bevs defense on the point guard that was missing. It was his energy and his hustle. Team look like they had just given up on plays and loose balls when it was right in front of them

Beverley would have helped, but not sure he woulda played much better D on CP3 than what we got out of Lin and Brooks (surprisingly, Brooks played decent D). There's a reason CP3 is the best pg in the league. It's also hard to guard him when your bigs are out for most of the first half. A big problem was a lot of missed rotations on D.

I know right, hate those touch fouls. Bev will get called for flagrant 2 for playing defense

When Bev plays Paul I'm almost positive Paul will try and fight Bev

Bev can't guard Paul at all without fouling. No difference.

even if you made Chris paul work hard...the issue goes without saying...Harden cant play like ish...he has to find ways to mature as a bball player...playing smart and ruthless...

Beverley would've fouled out by the first half tonight. But we could've used another guard tonight. Actually, he should've spelled Harden tonight. A Bev-Lin backcourt might've had a shot.

We simply can't have Lin guarding Paul again.

Could have used Bev and moved Lin to guard JJ. Get well soon Patrick.

Lol, you can say this to just about any pg against Paul this season so far.

Bev helps but if Harden doesn't stay in the same ZIP code as his man, it won't matter.

Beverley would've fouled out a minute into the game with the way the refs baby Chris Paul. [IMG]

I hate to rain on your parade here, but Bev can't guard Chris Paul either if he gets tick tack calls like tonight.

In the meanwhile, Lin was murdered under the basket and no calls.

Bev could have helped. No question. But no any way Rox could have beaten Clippers when JJ Roddick lighted up Harden like a Christmas tree.

Bev. is a PG who is easier getting into foul trouble than Lin.

Someone with heart and fire. Willing to do the dirty work. Unlike Harden over there.
