Trump keeps Miss USA despite drinking allegations NEW YORK — Miss USA Tara Conner, who had come under criticism amid rumors she had been frequenting bars while underage, will be allowed to keep her title, the Miss Universe Organization announced Tuesday. The organization is owned by Donald Trump and NBC. "I've always been a believer in second chances," Trump said at a news conference. He and Conner met earlier Tuesday morning. Conner, who hails from Kentucky, won the title in April and has been living in New York. Recent media accounts of heavy drinking brought a storm of criticism, since she was underage at the time. Wow... Katie Blair went to my middle school down here in Houston. We were pretty good friends back in seventh grade. She has always been really attractive, but I never thought she would be Miss Teen USA. I didn't believe the person who told me she moved to Montana. I guess they weren't lying.

Donald Trump's last-minute reprieve for his bad-girl beauty queen sparked a pageant backlash yesterday and a battle of the bigmouths with Rosie O'Donnell. The thrice-married mogul threatened to sue the talk-show host - and to have one of his friends steal away the hefty O'Donnell's willowy, blond lesbian lover. "This woman is totally out of control," he told the Daily News. "I'm worth billions of dollars, and I have to listen to this fat slob?"Trump's outburst came after O'Donnell ripped him on ABC's "The View" as a philandering blow-hard who had no business letting hard-partying Miss USA Tara Conner keep her crown. "He's the moral authority," O'Donnell said, after flipping her hair to mimic Trump's .famous combover. "Left the first wife - had an affair. Left the second wife - had an affair. . . .
